The Minnesota Timberwolves advanced through the first round of the playoffs, defeating the Denver Nuggets 4-2 in a best-of-seven series. The two teams will play Game 3 in Minneapolis at 8:30 p.m. Central Time on Friday. The Spurs remain the favorites to win the series, and even if Minnesota advances to the Western Conference Finals, they will likely face the defending champions and number one seed in the NBA playoffs, the Oklahoma City Thunder. If Minnesota then defeats the Thunder (or the Los Angeles Lakers), Wright would also need the Timberwolves to defeat the Eastern Conference champions in the NBA Finals, or his bet would expire.<\/span><\/p>
