Day 17 of the WSOP continues with intense competition as the High Roller event enters its final stage.<\/h2>

Although no new bracelet winners were crowned on Day 17 of the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP), the Las Vegas circuit was still full of exciting moments.<\/span><\/p>

Seven events were running concurrently that day, ranging from the $500 buy-in Colosus to the $100,000 High Roller, with each level entering its crucial stage. The most anticipated event was undoubtedly Event #36:$100,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em<\/strong>\u3002<\/span><\/p>

After intense elimination on Day 2, only 9 players remained in the tournament, and Austrian player Christopher Nguyen advanced to the final day as the scoreboard leader with a thrilling comeback.<\/span><\/p>

Christopher Nguyen reversed AA's lead to claim the top spot on the scoreboard.<\/h2>

Nguyen's ability to become the chip leader was largely due to the most dramatic key hands of the day.<\/span><\/p>

Holding KQ, he 4-bet all-in, only to run into Russian high roller Artur Martirosian with pocket aces. Based on hand strength, Nguyen was practically eliminated.<\/span><\/p>

However, Lady Luck was on his side.<\/span><\/p>

The turn dealt a King, and the river dealt a Queen, allowing Nguyen to pull off an incredible comeback and double up his winnings.<\/span><\/p>

This hand not only changed his fate, but also completely altered the course of the entire game.<\/span><\/p>

Nguyen continued his winning streak, finishing the day with 17,200,000 chips, placing him first overall.<\/span><\/p>

Martirosian suffers another major blow and misses out on the prize pool.<\/h2>

Even more cruelly, this wasn't the only time Martirosian's AA (Agreement\/Defense) was cracked that day.<\/span><\/p>

Shortly after losing to Nguyen, he once again secured pocket aces, this time against Dutch high roller Teun Mulder's J\u266010\u2660.<\/span><\/p>

But fate played another trick on us.<\/span><\/p>

Mulder successfully staged a comeback, handing Martirosian their second loss with an all-American score.<\/span><\/p>

This hand resulted in Martirosian's elimination in 19th place, becoming the bubble player in this $100,000 High Roller event, while Mulder advanced to the final day with 8,845,000 chips.<\/span><\/p>

The final table lineup for the High Roller tournament has been announced.<\/h2>

After two days of intense competition, only 9 contestants advanced to the final day.<\/span><\/p>

It is worth noting that Chinese player Ding Biao successfully made it to the final table, while Alex Foxen, despite having less than 10 big blinds left, still has a chance to make a comeback.<\/span><\/p>

The champion's prize money is as high as $2.84 million.<\/h2>

This $100,000 high roller tournament ultimately attracted more than 100 participants, creating a prize pool of over ten million dollars.<\/span><\/p>

The remaining nine players have all secured at least $255,491 in prize money.<\/span><\/p>

But the real goal is still the championship.<\/span><\/p>

The top three finishers in this tournament will each receive over $1.3 million in prize money, while the ultimate champion will receive:<\/span><\/p>
