With the World Series of Poker (WSOP) kicking off this week, the summer poker season in Las Vegas is in full swing. Later this week, you'll have the chance to fight for charity and win prizes along the way.

Founded and run by poker pro Matt Stout, the CSOP has raised millions of dollars for a variety of causes, from fighting life-threatening diseases to supporting law enforcement and impoverished families. The CSOP has also helped people in the poker community get their lives back on track, as described in a recent PokerNews feature on Ken Strauss (better known as the "Naked Thief").
The 100th event will raise funds to continue this mission. The tournament will benefit the CSOP, whose goal is to "help us continue to purchase tables, chips, computers, televisions, and other equipment that we provide to beneficiaries free of charge throughout the year."

This is going to be an exciting summer for CSOP, as they are also preparing to collaborate with actress Shannon Elizabeth. June 28 The second annual "Rhino Rush" poker tournament was held at Sterling Club.
In a recent interview, Elizabeth told PokerNews that the event will raise funds for the Khusela Endangered Wildlife Reserve in South Africa.
"We're starting to make some progress with the local community and starting to help them," the American Pie star told PokerNews. "So there's a lot going on over there, and we really need to raise funds."
