Why did the casino compliance department remove high-stakes players from Hustler's WSOP livestream? During Hustler Casino Live's first WSOP livestream, player Britney was asked to leave the table due to "compliance" issues. The problem stemmed from her use of large cash buy-ins, violating WSOP rules regarding the source of funds for high-stakes events.

On Friday, a regular guest mysteriously disappeared from the game several hours into the Hustler Casino Live broadcast of the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP).

A player named Britney had her chips suddenly removed from the table. She was streaming live one second and disappeared the next, with commentators Alan Keating and Brent Hanks offering no announcement or explanation. The stream then switched to a promotional graphic for about a minute before resuming, but Britney was no longer in the game.

What happened?

Nik Airball and another player at the table briefly discussed what had happened, but without going into details.

"Don't you know what happened? The casino said they changed their minds," Airball said, referring to Britney's situation.

Airball noted that Britney was initially approved to participate in this high-stakes cash game, which took place in Las Vegas, not at the usual Hustler casino in Los Angeles. However, according to PokerNews sources at HCL, she was asked to leave the table due to "compliance" issues.

Britney had a poor day, losing an early huge pot with top pair to Ethan “Rampage” Yau (who hit trips on the flop). Later, she went all-in with 9-5 of different suits for 1TP 4T 25,000 and lost, and in another hand, she went all-in pre-flop with K-rag for 1TP 4T 150,000, but that didn't work out either.

PokerNews confirmed that the problem stemmed from Britney buying large sums of cash into the game instead of transferring funds to the casino via wire transfer. The WSOP is strictly limiting the use of cash (instead of other options like LuxonPay or bank wire transfers) in high-stakes tournaments, which apparently includes cash games.

Britney was initially asked by a teller to retrieve a check from another casino and bring it back to the Paris hotel (the casino), which she did. She was then allowed to play games. However, after losing a large sum of money, a compliance officer decided she had to leave until they could conduct some background checks on her.

Poker pro Andrew Moreno recently encountered a similar situation and shared it on the X platform.

Hustler Casino Live hosted the first of six high-stakes cash games during the 2026 WSOP on Friday, including the show’s signature Million Dollar Game on June 12.

After Britney's chips were taken, the game continued, with Airball and Rampage accumulating chips.
