Day 16 of the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) featured several key events, with Event #36 undoubtedly being the most anticipated.$100,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em

This top-tier high roller event, with a buy-in of up to $100,000, attracted 67 entries. After 10 levels of intense competition, only 31 players successfully advanced to the second round, with Chinese high-stakes champion Ren Lin leading the pack with 3,175,000 chips.

Ren Lin has accumulated over $19.6 million in live tournament winnings, but has yet to win a WSOP gold bracelet. He has previously finished as WSOP runner-up three times and now has another excellent opportunity to win his first title.


High Roller Series Star-Studded

As one of the most expensive events in this year's WSOP, the $100,000 High Roller event naturally attracted many of the world's top professional poker players.

Suvarna wins his third WSOP gold bracelet.

Besides the High Roller event, another major focus on Day 16 was on Indian high-stakes player Santhosh Suvarna.

Suvarna successfully won Event #29:$50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'emHe won the championship, taking home $1,992,870 in prize money and his third WSOP gold bracelet.

It's worth noting that Suvarna's last three gold bracelets all came from ultra-high buy-in tournaments:

  • 2023 WSOP Europe €50,000 Diamond High Roller
  • 2024 WSOP $250,000 Super High Roller
  • 2026 WSOP $50,000 High Roller

With this victory, his total live tournament winnings have surpassed $22.7 million, and he continues to hold the top spot on India's all-time poker winnings list.


Richard Alsup dominates Monster Stack

After several days of intense competition, Monster Stack, one of the largest events in this year's WSOP, has officially come to a close.

American player Richard Alsup emerged victorious from a field of 11,933 participants, winning the championship and taking home $1,302,125 in prize money and his second WSOP gold bracelet.

This is not only the biggest prize of Alsup's career, but it also makes him one of the double gold bracelet winners.


Jessica Vierling aims for the Grand National NLH Championship

Event #32:$3,000 No-Limit Hold'emIt has also entered a critical stage.

After fierce competition among the 616 returning Day 2 contestants, only 57 advanced to Day 3.

Among them, German player Jessica Vierling is ranked fourth with 2,000,000 chips and is expected to compete for one of the biggest championships of her career.

The current leader is Greek athlete Christos Argyriadis (2,835,000).


25 players remain to compete in the PLO8 championship.

Event #33:$10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo ChampionshipIt has also entered a heated phase.

Only 25 players remain to compete for the $767,395 first prize.

Three-time bracelet winner Ryan Hughes currently leads the leaderboard with 1,995,000 chips, followed closely by four-time champion Martin Zamani (1,925,000) and Japanese player Shota Nakanishi (1,840,000).

Renowned professional poker player Jason Mercier is still alive, but with only 315,000 chips remaining, placing him near the bottom of the standings.

The popular WSOP tournament, COLOSSUS, has officially begun.

Day 1A attracted 2,684 participants, of whom 501 advanced.

Joseph Ozimok from Pennsylvania leads the first starting group with 1,065,000 chips.

On the other hand, Event #35:$1,500 Pot-Limit OmahaThe first starting group was also successfully completed, with Chinese player Qiang Xu topping the leaderboard with 1,188,000 chips.
