Nevan Chang 🇹🇼

Born in Taiwan, Chang Ni-wen was introduced to Texas Hold'em around 2016. Before becoming a professional player, he worked in the poker industry's business operations, dedicated to promoting and developing the poker industry in Taiwan. However, his passion for poker strategy ultimately led him to transition into a full-time professional player in 2017. He devoted up to eight hours a day to studying poker, progressing from online cash games and tournaments to live international circuits. His efforts finally paid off; he became one of the leading figures in the Taiwanese poker scene, joining PokerStars' elite Team Hot, and later becoming a well-known brand ambassador for Natural8. Chang Ni-wen frequently appears at major WPT (World Poker Tour) events, proudly representing his country and coaching other aspiring players.

Nevin is renowned for his high level of self-discipline and exceptional skill. His years of dedicated study of the mathematics of poker allow him to make sound decisions even under intense pressure. A highly adaptable player, he excels in a variety of game formats, particularly fast-paced and aggressive tournaments like Turbo and Bounty. His strategies are built on logic and observation. He is typically one of the calmest players at the table, taking the time to observe his opponents' playing patterns and identify subtle advantages. This patient and composed style makes him one of the world's most consistent "money-killers." He doesn't let emotions affect his performance, allowing him to remain calm whether playing in small local tournaments or high-stakes multi-million dollar buy-ins.

According to Hendon Mob, Nevan Chang's total live poker winnings exceed $3.5 million. His performance over the past few years has been remarkable, racking up numerous six-figure prizes worldwide. One of his most notable achievements was winning the Mini Main Event at the APT Championship in Taipei in late 2025, earning $225,454, his ninth APT title. Chang has also performed exceptionally well in the United States. At the 2024 WSOP World Series of Poker, he finished third in the $1,000 buy-in Super Turbo Bounty event for $96,965 and 125th in the Main Event for $100,000. In 2025, he finished fourth in another WSOP $1,000 buy-in Super Turbo event for $84,733. In early 2026, he proved his ability to compete in high-stakes events by winning multiple prizes in the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Jeju Island, including a 12th place finish in the $3,000 buy-in Genesis event, winning $33,000.
