Originally from Baguio City and currently residing in Pasig, Philippines, Edoc is known locally as “the man who needs no introduction.” He started his journey running home games in Baguio before transitioning to professional play, quickly becoming a fixture at the Metro Card Club as a Team Pro. Unlike many pros who specialize in one region, Edoc has successfully adapted to the modern Asian poker boom, traveling extensively to Taiwan, Vietnam, and Korea to compete against the new generation of international grinders. Lester Edoc is renowned for his aggressive and adaptable play style. Often described as playing “without fear,” he is known for building massive stacks early in tournaments, allowing him to exert immense ICM pressure on opponents near the bubble. His longevity in the game – spanning from the early days of Filipino poker to the modern GTO era – speaks to his ability to evolve. He combines old-school live reads with the technical aggression required to win High Rollers in 2025.

With over $2.7 million in total live earnings (according to The Hendon Mob), Lester Edoc sits proudly in the top 5 of the Philippines All Time Money List. He is a dominant force on the Asian circuit, holding over 15 APT titles, making him one of the most decorated players in the tour’s history. His career is defined by consistency rather than a single “one-hit wonder” score. However, he regularly crushes High Roller events, such as his victory at the APT Taipei 2024 Single Day High Roller for ~$85,000 and his runner-up finish in the APT Taipei Superstar Challenge for ~$159,000. He is also a two-time APT Main Event champion, having famously won back-to-back titles in Manila in 2018.
