Born in England (though representing Hong Kong), Daniel Tang grew up in the UK, attending university in Manchester where he first discovered poker. He began his career grinding low-stakes cash games in local casinos before transitioning to tournament poker in 2016. His move to Asia proved pivotal; after networking with key figures like Winfred Yu in Macau, Tang joined the Natural8 team and rapidly ascended to the highest stakes. He is often described as the “bridge” between the European and Asian poker communities, fluent in the play styles and cultures of both.
