Koop is known in the community as a dedicated “grinder” who puts in massive volume, often seen playing back-to-back series in places like South Korea, Vietnam, and Taiwan. Despite his multimillion-dollar success, he has remained a consistent presence in both high-roller fields and major championship events.

Koop is widely respected for his aggressive and fearless approach to the game. Coming from a background of high-volume tournament play, he has a deep understanding of short-stack dynamics and is never afraid to put his opponents to a decision for all their chips. He finished in 3rd place in the $10,500 EveryOne for One Drop event, taking home a massive $1,872,438. Koop is a regular deep-finisher in high-stakes “High Roller” events. In May 2023, he nearly captured a major title at the Triton Super High Roller Series Cyprus, finishing as the runner-up in a $25,000 Turbo event for $480,100. More recently, he has continued his winning ways by capturing his first Asian Poker Tour (APT) title in 2024, winning the Baby Superstar Challenge in Taipei for $95,694.
