選手介紹

Originally from Little Falls, New York, Lonis is a “throwback” player who learned the game long before it was theoretically solved. He was introduced to poker by his grandmother, who played on Full Tilt Poker when he was just 10 years old. Lonis built his initial bankroll through grueling work in construction and odd jobs before transitioning to online poker. Unlike many of his contemporaries who emerged from elite math circles, Lonis cut his teeth in the live mid-stakes games across the U.S., eventually breaking through in 2021 with a deep run in the WSOP Main Event. His speedy ascension to the top of the GPI rankings is fueled by what he calls his “motivational drive”—the desire to provide for his family and secure his children’s future.

介紹 / 打法概述

Pot-Limit Omaha

Lonis is famous for his “street poker” style—an old-school, exploitative approach that focuses on reading the person over the cards. While he maintains a strong understanding of modern GTO (Game Theory Optimal) foundations, his primary weapon is his ability to deviate and find high-leverage exploits that solvers might miss. He is a master of all variants, cashing at elite levels in No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, and Mixed Games. Known for his incredible stamina and willingness to play 12-hour days every day of a festival, Lonis uses his “relentless pressure” strategy to steamroll final tables. His decision-making process is often intuitive, relying on years of observing player tendencies in the “trenches” of live mid-stakes poker.
