Aliaksei Boika

Born in Minsk, Belarus, Boika’s journey began in the world of online poker, where he is widely known under the screen name “ale6ka”. He spent years grinding his way through the digital ranks, winning multiple major online titles including a SCOOP title and a GGPoker Super MILLION$ victory. His first live cash was recorded 15 years ago in Malta, and he has since grown from playing small buy-in events to competing in tournaments with entries as high as $200,000. Boika is part of a very successful generation of Belarusian players, and his recent deep runs in the 2025 EPT circuits show he is still at the top of his game.

Boika is best known for his incredible composure and his willingness to make bold, high-stakes decisions when the pressure is highest. He became a poker legend for making one of the most famous “hero calls” in EPT history; in the final hand of EPT Malta, he called a massive all-in shove with only Ace-high after minutes of deep thought to win the tournament. Described as a tournament specialist, he combines a deep mathematical understanding of the game with a fearless ability to read his opponents. Whether he is playing online or in a live Super High Roller, he is respected for his disciplined approach and his ability to navigate massive fields.

With total live tournament earnings of over $6.2 million (according to The Hendon Mob), Boika is a regular at the world’s most expensive final tables. His most famous victory came in 2016 at the European Poker Tour (EPT) Malta Main Event, where he outlasted 468 players to win the title and €355,700 (roughly $390,772). Proving his skill against the world’s elite, Boika’s largest single payday arrived in early 2025 at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Jeju. He finished in 6th place in the $100,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event for a massive $1,288,000.
