Matas Cimbolas

Originally from Alytus, Lithuania, Cimbolas discovered poker while studying business and economics in Vilnius. He later moved to London, UK, to pursue poker professionally, joining a strong community of Lithuanian pros in the city. Known online by his moniker “bebaimis777” (which translates to “fearless”), he started in small home games before crushing online MTTs and eventually conquering the live scene.

True to his nickname “fearless,” Cimbolas is known for his aggressive and adaptable play style. He has proven his versatility by excelling in everything from large-field events like the WSOP Paradise Mini Main Event (8th place in 2024) to elite fields in Triton High Rollers. His ability to switch gears has kept him at the top of the game for over a decade.

With over $7.6 million in total live earnings, Cimbolas sits at #2 on the Lithuania All Time Money List on The Hendon Mob, trailing only Antanas “Tony G” Guoga. His resume includes major titles and massive scores across multiple tours. His breakout moment came in 2014 when he won the WPT UK Main Event in Nottingham for £200,000 (~$313,000). However, his career-best live cash was achieved at the WPT L.A. Poker Classic (LAPC) in 2019, where he finished as the runner-up for $646,930. Cimbolas has recently transitioned successfully into the ultra-high-stakes arena. In May 2024, he made a deep run at the Triton Super High Roller Series Montenegro, finishing 9th in the $200k event for $483,000 and 16th in the Main Event for $287,000. He continues to find winner’s circles in 2025, recently taking down a Freezeout event at EPT Malta.
