Haverkamp hails from the Netherlands but has been increasingly active in the Asian poker scene. Before his WPT breakthrough, he was seen competing in Vietnam, recording a final table finish (8th place) at the APT Phu Quoc National Cup in 2024. His transition from online grinder to live tournament contender was cemented in Cambodia, where he displayed great patience and resilience, laddering up significantly at the final table.

Haverkamp’s style is often described as calculated and solid, typical of players with a strong online background. At the WPT Cambodia final table, he was noted for making disciplined folds – including correctly folding a strong hand against a shove from Kevin Ewald – which allowed him to survive and eventually reach the heads-up stage against aggressive competition.

His most significant live achievement occurred at the WPT Cambodia Championship 2025 in Phnom Penh. Haverkamp navigated a field of 750 entries to reach the final table and eventually finished as the Runner-Up in the Main Event. After a tough heads-up battle against Russian pro Artem Vezhenkov , Haverkamp secured a career-high payday of $255,000. During the final hand, his two pair (Kings and Queens) was bested by Vezhenkov’s rivered full house. Prior to this major live score, Haverkamp had already proven his skills on the digital felt. Competing as “CorVanHout” on GGPoker, he famously finished 3rd in the massive WSOP Online “BIG 50” event in 2020, earning $114,237. This result remains one of the highlights of his online career.
