Yang Zhang was born in Dalian, China, and discovered poker during the early 2010s. Like many of his peers, he started with smaller local games before realizing he had the talent to compete professionally. He quickly became a fixture in the poker rooms of Macau, where he sharpened his skills against international pros. Zhang took a short break from live poker during the pandemic years but returned to the circuit with a passion in 2023.
