888poker WSOP Documentary Episode 6: One More Day

The final episode of the 888poker WSOP documentary has been released, with Aaron Barone reminiscing about his journey to 65th place in the 2026 WSOP Main Event, winning $125,000, and looking ahead to his return in 2027.

The sixth and final episode of 888poker's WSOP documentary has been officially released; the following is a recap of the episode "The Most Profound WSOP Main Event Journey of My Life".

At the end of episode five, Aaron Barone is the only surviving player from the 888poker team of five. He has 785,000 chips at the end of Day 4 of the $10,000 WSOP Main Event, hoping to "climb a few steps" and "maybe advance to Day 6".

At the start of Day 5 of the 2026 WSOP Main Event, 533 players returned to their seats, including Barone, whose 785,000 chips placed him in 300th place. Barone, unassuming yet confident, stated that he felt less pressure than at any other time during the entire tournament. Could this be a good sign?

This seemed like a good omen. Barone accumulated 1,300,000 chips in his last hand before the dinner break. He had been eliminated at this level by bluffing at the 2025 WSOP; this time, he called all-in with seven-high flush on a four-suited board and was right.

The good luck continued. Barone went all-in pre-flop with AQ and pocket Jacks, hitting two pair on the flop and pushing his chip stack to 2,600,000. Although he returned some chips before the end of the tournament, Barone still advanced to Day 6 with 1,880,000 chips, or 24 big blinds.

"I did reach around 2.9 million chips, but the chips came and went quickly. 1.9 million is more than enough for tomorrow; it's incredible. I had a lot of fun and have almost certainly set a new record for my best and deepest performance at the WSOP. Now we'll try to push it further tomorrow."

Early on Day 6, Lady Luck smiled on Barone. He went all-in with AK against his opponent's pocket Jacks. The flop gave him triplets, but also allowed his opponent to make a full house. The turn and river were both 5s, giving Barone an even bigger full house and allowing him to win the pot.

That hand, along with several other smaller wins, gave Barone 3,600,000 chips with 114 players remaining.

After the dinner break, Barone was moved to the live table and given some spotlight time. This seat wasn't easy for the Canadian player, as he was sandwiched between legend Shaun Deeb and 2019 WSOP Main Event champion Hossein Ensan, both of whom had more chips than Barone.

Unfortunately, Barone's 2026 WSOP Main Event ended at that very table. He went all-in with KQ against Maxime Chilaud's AT, and Chilaud's Ace kick paid off. Barone was eliminated in an impressive 65th place, winning $125,000. Chilaud, who eliminated him, was eventually eliminated in 27th place, winning $265,000.

"I tried to find opportunities, but the cards didn't cooperate. We survived for a while, and then the last 11 big blinds went all-in with KQ against AT, and we didn't win that 60/40 split," Barone explained.

"I'm a little disappointed now. I think the thought of 'if I had won that marathon' will stay with me for a while; I'll probably get over it in a few hours!"

The show ended there, and Barone went to collect his summer prize money and thank everyone for following his journey.

"I'll be back for the 2027 WSOP Main Event. Maybe I'll go another day, into Day 7?"
