Summer may be over, or coming to an end in many parts of the world, but that means an exciting online poker tournament extravaganza is just around the corner. Every fall, 888poker hosts the XL Fall Series, a sizzling tournament designed to welcome the cooler months of the year.
The exciting XL Fall Series features 41 numbered events, with the first event starting on September 20 and the 41st and final event concluding on September 29.
The total guaranteed prize pool for the entire series is nearly $900,000, including a total guaranteed prize pool of $350,000 for the two Mystery Bounty Main Events.
Mystery Bounty Tournament Dominates XL Fall Series Schedule
888poker was one of the first online poker sites to offer mystery bounty tournaments, and a significant portion of its daily tournament schedule consists of this format. This trend continued in the 2026 XL Fall Series, with 26 out of 41 events being mystery bounty tournaments.
The Mystery Opening Tournament, a buy-in and guarantee of $109 with $100,000 guaranteed, is one such mystery bounty tournament. It will kick off the XL Autumn Series on September 20th at 6 PM BST.
This tournament was once 888poker's weekly flagship tournament, but the guaranteed prize pool was later reduced to $80,000 and has never been reached since. Raising the guaranteed prize pool to $100,000 is a bold move that could bring value to players in the XL Fall Series.
$300,000 guarantees the Main Event and $50,000 guarantees the Mini Main Event.
The 2026 XL Fall Series features two No-Limit Hold'em Main Events, and you guessed it, they're both mystery bounty tournaments.
The $250 Mystery Main Event guarantees a prize pool of $300,000, meaning nearly 1,300 entries are needed for 888poker to avoid losses. The $25 Mystery Mini Main Event is similar, requiring slightly more than 2,220 players to reach the guaranteed prize pool of $50,000.
Both the Mini Main Event and the Main Event will have dozens of Day 1 events starting on September 13.
Last year, Romania's "amormori" won the $250 Mystery Main Event, emerging victorious from 2,319 entrants to claim $55,782.
"brocanuts" won the $25 Mystery Mini Main Event, finishing with $6,077 after eliminating 4,413 opponents.
