Mike Watson won the Triton Montenegro $50K Bounty Quattro event.
Mike Watson won two titles in one week, officially achieving Triton's seventh title.
The 2026 Triton Poker Montenegro Series continued to showcase legendary moments in the Super High Roller event, with Canadian pro player Mike Watson once again taking the top spot.
In the recently concluded $50,000 NLH Bounty Quattro event, 42-year-old Watson once again emerged victorious, taking home a total prize pool of $621,000, including a $240,000 bounty. This is his second Turbo title in just four days, and his seventh Triton championship trophy in his career.
Earlier this week, Watson had already won the $30K NLH Turbo event, and now, by winning again, he becomes the first player to achieve a double victory at this year's Triton Montenegro event.
Triton's number of championships is approaching Jason Koon's.
With this victory, Mike Watson now holds second place on the all-time Triton championship list, second only to Jason Koon with 13 titles.
In a post-match interview, Watson smiled and said:
“"Jason shouldn't feel the pressure yet, but being able to rank second on his own is already incredible."”
As a legendary professional poker player with a long history in high-stakes poker, Watson has demonstrated remarkable consistency in the Triton Series in recent years. Whether it's the fast-paced Turbo tournaments or the deep-stack Super High Roller events, he has consistently maintained his competitiveness.
His double victory at the Montenegro event once again proves that he remains a top player in the world's highest-level poker tournaments.
The final table was filled with world-class players.
Although the total number of participants in this $50K Bounty Quattro event was only 32, the lineup was still extremely impressive.
The final table featured:
- Jason Koon
- Alex Foxen
- Linus Loeliger
- Artur Martirosian
- Anatoly Zlotnikov
- Jesse Lonis
World-class professional poker players.
Jason Koon is aiming for his 13th Triton title, while Alex Foxen is vying for his fifth.
However, Mike Watson ultimately emerged victorious.
Koon and Foxen were eliminated consecutively at the final table.
Watson did not take the lead immediately after entering the final table.
The hand that truly changed the course of the game came during his crucial all-in confrontation with Linus Loeliger.
Watson held pocket eights, while Loeliger had Aces and Tens. Watson eventually formed a straight to double up and return to the center of the competition.
Later, Jason Koon went all-in with pocket sixes in the short stack stage, but Loeliger flopped a King, and Koon ultimately finished in fourth place.
However, Watson quickly began to completely take control of the game.
In a crucial hand against Alex Foxen, Foxen made a flush on the turn with 4♣3♣, but after the fourth club appeared on the river, Watson made a stunning comeback with an even bigger flush.
This hand completely changed the game and helped Watson quickly catch up and take the lead in the score.
Foxen then went all-in with K♦5♠ during the short-stack phase, and Watson called with A♦K♠. Ultimately, the winning hand kept Foxen in the lead, and Foxen finished in third place.
The one-on-one match ended in just three moves.
When the final heads-up match began, Watson had a huge lead of 39 big blinds, while Linus Loeliger had only 12 big blinds left.
The outcome of the match was almost a foregone conclusion.
After only three hands, Loeliger went all-in with K♠5♠, while Watson easily called with A♦10♥.
Ultimately, the superior cards held up, and Mike Watson officially won the championship.
Triton Montenegro Station becomes Watson's legendary journey
For Mike Watson, this Montenegro event is undoubtedly another important milestone in his career.
Winning two consecutive Turbo tournaments and securing his seventh Triton title further solidified his legendary status in the era of Super High Roller events.
After the game, Watson even asked with a smile:
“How many more PLO Turbo matches are left in the schedule?”
This joke perfectly captures his current incredibly hot competitive state.
As Triton Montenegro enters its later stages, the global poker community is closely watching whether Watson can continue to create new legendary records.
