The 2026 PokerStars Open Malaga Music Festival will be held from June 22nd to 28th, with the €1,100 Main Event guaranteeing a €1 million prize pool. Last year's Main Event attracted 1,636 entries and generated a prize pool of €1,570,560.

The Costa del Sol is a popular holiday destination, but from June 22nd to 28th, it will be packed with poker players – as the 2026 PokerStars Open Malaga Music Festival takes place. Following a record-breaking event in 2025 (with the Main Event alone awarding €1,570,560 in prize money), Gran Madrid Casino Torrequebrada is gearing up for a week-long poker extravaganza.

The PokerStars Open in Malaga will kick off on the afternoon of June 22 with a $200 No-Limit Hold'em knockout tournament, followed by a $200 No-Limit Hold'em deep-stack tournament in the evening.

Players heading to the PokerStars Open Malaga Music Festival won't have to wait long for their first high-buy-in tournament. The first day of the €2,200 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller event officially kicks off at 6:00 PM local time on June 23.

Last year, the tournament attracted 288 entries, with a total prize pool of €552,960. Jorge Rojo defeated Grzegorz Kozieja in heads-up play to win the championship and take home a hefty prize of €112,960.

Players looking for higher buy-in events can keep an eye on the €5,000 No-Limit Hold'em Super High Roller, which kicks off on June 27th. The defending champion is Ricardo Capela, who defeated 61 opponents to win the €86,258 jackpot.

Of course, the €1,100 PokerStars Open Malaga Main Event is the crown jewel of the entire event, especially since it guarantees a €1 million prize pool. The tournament will feature four Day 1 groups from June 24th to 25th, concluding on June 28th. Compared to last year's Main Event, this will be a truly spectacular event.

What happened at the 2025 PokerStars Open Malaga Main Event?

A massive field of 1,636 entries pushed the €1 million guarantee to overrun, creating a total prize pool of €1,570,560. The final table of nine featured representatives from six countries, but Italy ultimately took both the top two spots.

Manuel Ferrari reached a heads-up deal with fellow countryman Ermanno Di Nicola, and Ferrari then completed the task, taking home the €206,300 jackpot, the championship trophy, and the PokerStars Open Malaga title.

2025 PokerStars Open Malaga Tournament Results

When PokerStars arrived in Malaga in 2025, it wasn't just the Main Event that offered lucrative prizes. Besides the champions already mentioned, Norberto Rodriguez and Manuel Exposito took home €50,710 and €33,000 respectively, despite playing in tournaments with buy-ins of only €500 and €400.
