A brand-new poker tournament is about to make its debut in Africa – the African Poker Championship (APC) will travel to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania later this month to host its first-ever poker extravaganza.

The first APC event will be held at Le Grande Casino from September 24 to October 4, with a guaranteed prize pool of over $500,000 over the 11-day event, culminating in the $1,000 APC Main Event.

Organized by MJPT Global, APC's vision is to bring together the poker community from across Africa, showcase the continent's poker talent, and create events that can attract players from around the world.

For players chasing Hendon Mob's flag record, Tanzania might be a stop you can't miss. The APC's debut offers the opportunity to add the Tanzanian flag to your resume, while also becoming a pioneer in Africa's newest poker circuit.
