The APL Jeju Island main tournament group stage has concluded, with 172 players successfully advancing to Day 2.

The 2026 APL Jeju Island Main Event concludes its group stage.

With the conclusion of Groups E and F, this year's APL main event delivered an impressive result: a total of 1,192 participants, successfully breaking the event record. After several days of intense competition, and excluding duplicate entries, 172 players successfully advanced to Day 2, aiming for even greater honors.

Meanwhile, the #23 Mysterious Bounty Hunter tournament also successfully concluded, with Chinese player Xu Jieming once again standing on the podium to claim his second championship trophy in this series, becoming a double champion at the APL Jeju Island station.

Group E concluded with a bang, attracting 248 participants.

As the last regular group in the main event, Group E has shown great popularity since the start of the competition.

Shortly after the competition began at noon local time, the number of participants quickly exceeded 200. As registration remained open, Group E ultimately attracted 248 participants, making it one of the groups with the highest number of offline participants in this year's main event.

The competition featured both experienced veterans and numerous newcomers making their debut. Faced with their final chance to advance, all the players displayed an extremely strong desire to win.

The female player made a miraculous comeback on the river.

Throughout the competition, numerous exciting hand games unfolded.

At level 9 with blinds of 600/1200/1200, a female player faced an all-in challenge from the big blind.

The opponent in position SB holds J♠J♥, while the female player is holding A♦Q♠ to fight.

After the flop of 8♦9♣8♠, pocket Jacks still maintained their lead.

After the 7♠ was dealt, the female player was almost ready to leave the game.

But at that moment, a bystander shouted, "A!"“

Surprisingly, the river card actually turned out to be an Ace Heart.

With a top pair hit on the river, the female player pulled off a thrilling comeback, doubling up her score and becoming one of the most dramatic moments of the day.

JJ's comeback against KK became a classic battle.

Also at Level 9, another table witnessed a thrilling match.

The player in MP1 raised to 3,000 at the start, only to be shoved all-in by the player in CO for 29,600 chips.

After a brief moment of thought, MP1 quickly followed suit.

Showdown phase:

  • CO:K♥K♦
  • MP1: J♣J♥

After the flop came 9♥2♣7♦, KK continued to lead.

But the turn card J♦ instantly changed the course of the game.

MP1 successfully hit the dark triple and took the lead.

The river card 10♠ failed to help KK turn the tide, and JJ ultimately completed the comeback, eliminating his opponent and winning the crucial pot.

Sun Wei stopped at the bubble

As the competition entered its later stages, Group E began to enter the prize pool phase.

With 38 players remaining to compete for 37 prize slots, everyone's nerves were on edge.

The key bubble hand came between Lin Wei Kai from Taiwan and Sun Wei.

Lin Wei Kai advanced approximately 270,000 chips directly from the CO position.

Sun Wei, who finished fourth in the Red Dragon Cup PLUS Main Event, called 142,000 from the BB position with A♠K♠.

After the showdown:

  • Lin Wei Kai: Q♥Q♦
  • Sun Wei: A♠K♠

Flip the cards: 2♣3♣10♠.

Turn card 4♣.

Although Sun Wei gained more opportunities to draw, the river card 6♦ did not help.

Ultimately, Sun Wei unfortunately became one of the 37 players in Group E who missed out on the prize money.

Hsu Pao-Hsuan strongly tops the Super CL charts

With the formation of bubbles, Group E's matches officially came to an end.

Ultimately, 38 contestants successfully advanced to Day 2.

Among them, Hsu Pao-Hsuan from Taiwan, China, had the most outstanding performance.

With 967,500 chips, he not only became the chip leader in Group E, but also surpassed all the previous qualifiers to become the current Day 2 chip leader.

This achievement makes him a strong contender for the championship.

Group F's fast race has successfully concluded.

The Group F quick match, which started at 8 p.m., also attracted a large number of participants.

Many players who prefer fast-paced games choose to make their final push on the last "train".

Group F ultimately attracted 120 participants.

The competition ended around 2 a.m., with a total of 18 qualifying spots.

Sun Bin became the chip leader in Group F with 588,000 chips.

In addition, popular female poker player Ni Chu'er also advanced smoothly, keeping her hopes of winning the championship alive in the subsequent competitions.

The total number of participants in the main event exceeded 1192.

With all group stage matches concluded, the final entry data for the APL Jeju Island Main Event has been officially released:

  • Group A: 172 participants
  • Group B: 180 people
  • Group C: 203 participants
  • Group D: 57 participants
  • Group E: 248 participants
  • Group F: 120 participants
  • Group G (Online): 212 participants

The total number of participants reached 1,192.

This figure not only successfully exceeded the event's minimum target, but also broke the historical record for the APL Jeju Island Main Event.

After several rounds of intense selection, 172 contestants successfully advanced to Day 2.

Next, they will make a final push for the championship trophy and even higher prize money.

Xu Jieming wins another championship

In addition to the main event, the supplementary events also saw a string of successes.

The champion of the #23 Mysterious Bounty Hunter tournament was ultimately won by Chinese player Xu Jieming.

This is his second championship trophy at this year's APL Jeju Island Station.

Following his previous victory, Xu Jieming once again demonstrated his exceptional competitive form, successfully becoming a double champion in the series.

With his consistently strong deep-running ability and outstanding performance in crucial moments, he has become one of the most outstanding athletes in this series.

Day 2 battle is about to begin.

With the main tournament group stage now complete, the real battle for the championship is about to begin.

All 172 players who advanced have secured their spots in the prize pool, but for the vast majority, this is just the beginning.

The upcoming Day 2 and subsequent matches will determine who will stand on the highest podium at the APL Jeju Island event.

To emerge victorious from among 1,192 participants and become the ultimate champion will be the ultimate test of skill, patience, and willpower.

The most exciting story of APL Jeju Island is only just beginning.
