This Canadian poker pro won the $1,300 World Poker Tour (WPT) Cambodia Championship, a No-Limit Texas Hold'em tournament that attracted 391 entries and had a total prize pool of $500,000. Engel wins another game

After Michael Oneill was eliminated in third place with $43,811, Engel and Agarwal agreed to split the prize money. They had a coin toss to decide who would win the championship trophy, which Engel won.

The final table also included Mangalam Seksaria (6th place, $20,332), Rindra Norodom (5th place, $25,173), and Hendrik Uibo (4th place, $32,919). With this victory, Engel's live tournament winnings on The Hendon Mob officially surpassed $10.1 million.

He is one of the greatest players in WSOP Circuit history, with 20 circuit rings, second only to Maurice Hawkins (26, consistently leading the pack). However, Engel's success extends beyond the circuit; he has also excelled in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet events, accumulating four bracelets throughout his illustrious poker career.

Engel's victory in Cambodia marks his second tournament win of 2026. His first victory came in February with a low-stakes win at The Festival in Bratislava. This summer, he accumulated 16 winnings at the WSOP in Las Vegas, and now he adds another significant World Poker Tour victory.
