The Charity Series of Poker (CSOP) is hosting the "Fur the Love of Comedy" comedy show and charity poker tournament in Las Vegas to raise funds for the Nevada SPCA animal shelter. Saturday's poker event offers a $5,000 prize pool and over $9,000 in prizes. The CSOP will host two events this weekend in Las Vegas to raise funds for stray and orphaned animals in Nevada. The "Fur the Love of Comedy" comedy show will be held on Friday at the Jimmy Kimmel Comedy Club, followed by a charity poker tournament on Saturday at Via Brasil Steakhouse. Proceeds from both events will be donated to the Nevada SPCA, a non-violence animal shelter in the Las Vegas Valley area. The Pet Poker Charity Weekend will kick off Friday with a stand-up comedy show hosted by Las Vegas comedian Gabe Lopez, featuring comedians Liz Stone and Chris Porter, best known for his Netflix special, "Ugly & Angry." The show will begin at 5:30 p.m. local time, with tickets ranging from $42 to $80. All proceeds will be donated to the Nevada SPCA. Tickets can be purchased at charityseriesofpoker.org/105comedy. Following Friday's comedy show, Saturday will feature the "Fur the Love of Poker" charity poker tournament at Via Brasil Steakhouse, including an all-you-can-eat dinner and unlimited drinks. Entry opens at 5 p.m., with the $150 buy-in tournament starting at 7 p.m. The tournament will award 5,000 in cash prizes for $ and over 9,000 in donation prizes, with proceeds also going to Nevada SPCA. The CSOP is bringing a busy summer to a close, with the nonprofit hosting its 100th Charity Poker Tournament and an event hosted by American Pie star and environmentalist Shannon Elizabeth.
