CSOP Raises Funds for Stray Animals Through Comedy Night and Poker Tournament

The CSOP is hosting the "Fur the Love of Comedy" comedy show and charity poker tournament in Las Vegas to raise funds for the Nevada SPCA animal shelter. Saturday's poker tournament offers a $5,000 prize pool and over $9,000 in prizes.

The Charity Series of Poker (CSOP) will host two events in Las Vegas this weekend to raise funds for stray and orphaned animals in Nevada.

The CSOP will host the "Fur the Love of Comedy" comedy show at the Jimmy Kimmel Comedy Club on Friday, followed by a charity poker tournament at Via Brasil Steakhouse on Saturday.

Proceeds from both events will be donated to the Nevada SPCA, a non-killing animal shelter in the Las Vegas Valley area.

The charity weekend will kick off on Friday with a stand-up comedy show hosted by Las Vegas comedian Gabe Lopez, featuring comedians Liz Stone and Chris Porter, who is best known for his Netflix special, "Ugly & Angry".

Following Friday's comedy show, Saturday will feature the "Fur the Love of Poker" charity poker tournament at Via Brasil Steakhouse, featuring an all-you-can-eat dinner and unlimited drinks. Entry opens at 5 PM, with the $150 buy-in tournament starting at 7 PM.

The tournament will award $5,000 in cash prizes and over $9,000 in donation prizes, with proceeds also going to Nevada SPCA.

The CSOP is bringing a busy summer to a close, with the nonprofit hosting its 100th charity poker tournament and an event hosted by American Pie star and environmentalist Shannon Elizabeth.
