Fabiano Kovalski achieves another EPT victory in Barcelona, winning a €385,000 champion's prize.

The PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona Festival seems to consistently inspire Fabio Kovalski's best performances. Four of the Brazilian's top five career winnings came from EPT Barcelona events. Following his victory in the €3,250 EPT Mystery Bounty on August 27th, five of Kovalski's top six career live wins have now been secured in the Catalan capital.

Kovalski won €385,430 (including prize money) in this mystery bounty tournament. This is second only to his €565,280 earned in fourth place at the 2022 EPT Barcelona Main Event. The talented Brazilian's career-high prize money is as follows:

• 2026 EPT €3,250 Mystery Bounty Tournament First Place Winner: €385,430

• 2022 WSOP $10,000 NLHE Super Fast Bounty Tournament 2nd Place: $363,116

• 2024 EPT €5,300 Barcelona Main Event 9th Place: €139,750

• 2018 EPT €5,300 Barcelona Main Event 11th Place: €98,900

• 2017 EPT €2,200 Barcelona Deep Stack Tournament First Place: €93,701

Including re-entries, a total of 1,027 players participated in this PokerStars event, creating a total prize pool of €2,988,570, of which more than €1 million was awarded as mystery prizes.

Several prominent players successfully made it into the money bubble or received mystery prizes before being eliminated. Martins Adeniya, Cherish Andrews, Dara O'Kearney, Michel Molenaar, Alexandre Reard, Endrit Geci, and Nick Palma are among those who finished in the money bubble.

Italy's Candido Cappiello finished in 21st place but still won the fifth-highest prize in the tournament. This was because the mystery bounty envelope Cappiello opened contained €113,000, bringing his total winnings to €124,250.

€3,250 EPT Mystery Bounty Tournament Final Table Results

Philip Corion was one of two British players at the final table, and he finished ninth, earning €46,600.

Earlier this year at the EPT Monte Carlo, Russian player Viacheslav Goryachev won the same event, finishing eighth and earning €40,780, followed by Andre Moreira finishing seventh and earning €127,720.

With Longmao Fan (€69,230) eliminated in sixth place, the remaining players secured a six-figure prize.

This is a career-high prize for Indian golfer Paawan Bansal. According to The Hendon Mob database, Bansal's page previously had no prize money records, and he now boasts €179,420.

Chilean player Edgard Moreau also earned his best prize of his career. Moreau's previous highest prize was $22,398 won in the Kings Series of Poker Mini High Roller event in Brazil last June. Including the bounty, Moreau earned €116,640 in this mystery bounty event.

Japanese player Ai Tsuchiya will add another €159,720 in prize money in Barcelona after winning three WSOP prizes (including a career-best $16,000 in the $500 Colossus).

The heads-up match pitted Kovalski against Brandon Harris of Great Britain, who has already earned money three times in the current EPT Barcelona Series. Regardless of the final result, Harris had secured a $100,000 prize, surpassing his sixth-place finish in the 2025 Irish Open Main Event. He ultimately lost in the final stage, taking home €216,820, while Kovalski became his third live tournament winner, taking home €385,430.
