KPC Poker Jeju Station countdown: two weeks; here are the latest updates.

The KPC Poker Jeju event will be held from October 10-21 at the LES A Casino in Jeju Shinhwa World, with a guaranteed prize pool of 3.1 billion KRW. New additions include a $15K Main Event ladder satellite, three player competitions, a $100K High Roller package, and complimentary airport transfers.

With just over two weeks to go before KPC Poker returns to Jeju, the 12-day event is in its final stages of preparation.

The newly renamed tournament will be held from October 10th to 21st at the LES A Casino in Jeju Shinhwa World, with a guaranteed prize pool of 3.1 billion won (approximately US$2.3 million). KPC Poker is formed by the merger of K Poker Cup and King Poker Cup, and October will be its first major event under the new brand.

Now, with the event approaching, KPC Poker has released another batch of details, including a new pathway to the $15,000 King's Main Event, three series of player competitions, a brand-new $100,000 High Roller Package, and free airport transfers.

Step onto the ladder to the $15K King's Main Event

The $15,000 King's Main Event is one of the largest tournaments in the schedule, taking place from October 17th to 20th. The event features two preliminary rounds, with the qualifying players combining for the second day of competition on October 19th, and the champion being crowned the following day.

Players who do not wish to pay the full $15,000 upfront can qualify through KPC Poker's new two-stage ladder satellite tournament.

The first phase will be held on Thursday, October 15th at 7:30 PM, with a buy-in of 1.1 million Korean won. Players who make it into the prize pool will receive a ticket to the second phase and a cash reward.

The second and final stage will take place on Friday, October 16th at 7:30 PM, with a buy-in of 3.15 million Korean Won. This time, players who qualify will receive a $15,000 King's Main Event slot and cash.

This ensures players are rewarded at every stage, rather than making satellite races solely about reaching the final destination. The exact cash prizes will be confirmed live by KPC Poker.

The $70K Premium Pass is sold out; the $100K Pass has been added.

The high-stakes schedule has always been an important part of the October event, and KPC Poker says its initial $70,000 High Roller package is now sold out.

This promotion allows players to prepay $70,000 for a tournament buy-in in exchange for free accommodation throughout the event, one of several travel offers previously detailed by PokerNews.

KPC Poker has now added a $100,000 Ultimate Elite Pass for high-stakes players still planning their Jeju Island tournament schedule.

Many localities will utilize this tournament funding. High-stakes stages include the $60,000 King's Super High Roller, multiple $25,000 single-day Super High Roller events, the $20,000 Crown Hunt, the $15,000 King's Main Event, and the $30,000 Final Coronation.

Three series of competitions

Winning a tournament isn't the only way to leave Jeju with an extra trophy.

KPC Poker has announced three series of player leaderboards, with competitions divided into Korean Won events, High Roller events, and mixed games.

For regular Korean Won Series players, at least three winning draws are required to qualify for the leaderboard. The ultimate winner will receive a custom rose gold bracelet and $2,000 player wallet credit, while second and third place will share an additional $2,500.

The requirements for the High Roller Series are slightly different, requiring only two winning bets to qualify. The prize money is also significantly higher, with the winner receiving a custom gold ring and $10,000 in player wallet credit. Second place receives $8,000, and third place receives $5,000.

Mixed-game players also have their own competition. Three prize draws are required to qualify, with the winner receiving a custom gold bracelet and a $2,000 player wallet credit.

The schedule offers plenty of opportunities for mixed-game players, with non-Texas Hold'em events including Omaha Mix, Triple Draw Mix, Drawmaha, Stud Mix, Big O, and 2-7 variations. There's also a 2 million KRW poker players' tournament on October 16th.

All cash prizes for the series will be paid out in the form of player wallet deposits.

Players traveling to Jeju Island can enjoy free airport pick-up and drop-off service.

KPC Poker also tried to make the journey easier by offering free shuttle service to and from Jeju International Airport before, during, and after the event.

Free airport pick-up service will be available from October 9th to 10th, while drop-off service will be available from October 16th to 17th.

Players need to book in advance and provide flight information; same-day pick-up and drop-off requests are not accepted.

Holders of eligible Premium High Roller Passes or the brand new $100,000 High Roller Passes have more flexibility. Their airport transfers are not subject to standard date restrictions and can be arranged according to their individual travel plans.

KPC Poker Jeju Station will be streamed live starting October 11th.

For those watching the event from home, KPC Poker will also be running cameras for most of the series.

The tournament is scheduled to broadcast the matches from October 11 to 21, with a commentary team consisting of Wesley Chen, Bobby James, Aaron Paul Kramer, and Jin Bo.

The live stream will be available on KPC Poker's YouTube channel and 17 POKER QQ Live, giving viewers the opportunity to follow the tournament as it moves from Korean Won events to larger high roller tournaments.

Jeju countdown begins

The first hands will begin on Saturday, October 10th, with the KPC Bankroll Builder (800,000 KRW) and the $5,000 King's Debut being the first major tournaments in the schedule. The Bankroll Builder guarantees 180 million KRW, while the King's Debut guarantees 1 million USD.

From there, the competition heats up quickly. The KPC Main Event, with a prize pool of 1.3 million won, guarantees 880 million won, while the High Roller event, with a prize pool of 5 million won, guarantees 420 million won. The second half of the event will feature the $60,000 Super High Roller and the $15,000 King's Main Event.
