Lucas Jumalon leads in chips and aims to win another Main Event title.

2026 WSOP Main Event champion Lucas Jumalon leads in chips in the WSOP Circuit Austin $1,700 Main Event, with 18 players remaining to compete for the $433,670 champion prize and a circuit ring.

The current world poker champion may be just hours away from another title.

Lucas Jumalon, the 2026 WSOP Main Event champion, who won the $10 million prize, entered the final day as the chip leader in the $1,700 WSOP Circuit Main Event at TCH Social in Austin, Texas. He is chasing his first WSOP Circuit ring and the $433,670 first-place prize.

The original entry pool was 2,090, and only 18 players remain. The tournament will resume on Monday at 2 p.m. Central Time. Jumalon, at 22 years old, became the second youngest world champion in history, bagging 11.2 million chips (equivalent to 186 big blinds) on Sunday. This gives him a substantial lead over his closest competitor, Ryan Brown, who will start the final day with 8.2 million chips. Brant Jolly is in third place with 7 million chips.

Can the Main Event champion win another Main Event match?

This could be a long day, as there are no players with extremely short stacks. John Holley is in last place with 1.3 million chips, but that's worth 21 big blinds, enough for him to make a run.

But Jumalon proved this summer that he knows how to dominate a game with a chip lead. He entered the WSOP Main Event final table with a chip lead in August and never lost it. The champion finished his world championship journey by defeating Lauri Saaskilahti heads-up, largely thanks to the runner-up making what many poker fans have described as one of the worst calls in poker history.

Exaggerations aside, Jumalon did indeed defeat Saaskilahti and the rest of the final table opponents. Now he has the opportunity to prove he can continue to win at a high level. All remaining players are guaranteed at least 1TP 4T 15,530, with the final table earning at least 1TP 4T 40,100.

For Jumalon, winning this tournament would be his second WSOP Branded Main Event victory in less than two months, demonstrating to the poker world that his big win this summer is just the beginning of a great achievement.

Texas Card House will stream the final day of the tournament live on YouTube. Jumalon recently participated in his first cash game live stream at the nearby The Lodge Card Club, where he was eliminated in his second hand but bounced back and ultimately suffered only a small loss.
