Chien Yu-Lin (transliteration), originally from Taiwan and currently residing here, is a key figure in Taipei's burgeoning poker scene. She transitioned from a regional weekly player to a formidable international competitor, active in major tournaments worldwide, with a particular focus on large poker festivals in Taiwan and South Korea. Her career is renowned for its impressive results, frequently earning multiple cashes in a single week, as evidenced by her recent performance at the APT Taipei Poker Classic, where she excelled in both the mini-main event and the high-speed trolley events.

Lin Qianyu is known for her uncompromising and highly aggressive playing style, which is particularly effective in high-pressure, high-speed tournaments and short-table (8-player) formats. Her strategy relies on leveraging a deep stack advantage early in the game and applying intense ICM pressure at the final table, a style that has earned her numerous professional titles. Her ability to remain calm in a variety of tournament structures, from slow-paced "elimination tournaments" to fast-paced "survival bounty tournaments," makes her one of the most versatile and consistent players in modern poker.

According to Hendon Mob, Chien Yu Lin's total live tournament winnings have exceeded $148,900. Her career-high live tournament winnings are $14,742, demonstrating her prowess in high-stakes tournaments. Lin currently ranks 123rd on Taiwan's all-time poker money list, proving her consistency in the professional scene. The 2025 season was a breakthrough year for Lin, with numerous significant victories and multiple podium appearances. Most recently, in November 2025, she won the NT$3,000 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo Ladies event (Event 180) at the APT Taipei City Championship. Earlier that year, she also won the Poker Queen event (Event 29) at the 18th Taiwan Millions (TMT), earning $5,936. These achievements, coupled with her final table performances in high-level tournaments such as the Players Series Taiwan Championship II and the AJPC Samurai Tour, have significantly boosted her ever-increasing poker value.
