Ma Haohui, from China, has transitioned from regional tournaments to a mainstay on the global professional poker stage. He is a regular in major Asian tournaments such as the Asian Poker Tour (APT) and the Poker Dream, and his experience extends to high-stakes games in South Korea, Malaysia, and Macau. His rapid rise is reflected in his Global Poker Index (GPI) rankings, where he is projected to reach a career-high 346th by the end of 2025.

Ma Haohui is known for his shrewd and aggressive tournament strategies, particularly excelling in top-tier events such as high-stakes buy-ins and mystery bounty tournaments. In the 2025 APT Incheon Main Event, he fought his way to the final table bubble, with reports indicating he employed aggressive tactics including multiple three-bluffs and relentlessly chasing chips. His strategy typically leverages chip depth to stand out from the large field, a skill that has enabled him to frequently reach the final tables in major Asian tournaments.

Ma Haohui currently ranks 89th on the all-time Chinese poker money list with over $815,000 in live poker winnings. According to Hendon Mob, his career-high live poker winnings were $126,828, achieved in 2025, when he won nearly $600,000. Ma Haohui's outstanding achievement came in April 2025 at the Poker Dream 17 event in Malaysia, where he emerged victorious from 106 players to win the High Roller event, taking home approximately $75,200. He also finished second in the Poker Dream 16 Jeju Mystery Bounty event, earning $34,695, and achieved a commendable tenth place finish in the 2025 APT Incheon Main Event, winning $21,575, further solidifying his elite status. Ma Haohui maintained a high winning streak throughout the second half of 2025. His recent achievements include a fifth-place finish at the Poker Dream 18 Malaysia High Roller, winning US$14,100; and a seventh-place finish at the Triton One Jeju Island No-Limit Hold'em 8-Max Event, winning US$11,800.
