He amassed his fortune through local series such as the Vietnam Poker League (VPL) and the United States Poker Championship (USOP) before smoothly transitioning to regional high-stakes events. His victory in Jeju Island was particularly historic, as he emerged victorious from the most-attended high-stakes event in APT Korea history (305 players), solidifying his reputation as a player capable of withstanding immense pressure and competing against top-tier opponents.

Khoa Anh Ngo is known for his aggressive yet calculated playstyle. His lightning-fast heads-up match against Fabian Gumz at the APT Jeju Station demonstrated his decisive confidence even in smaller games. Additionally, he won the $2,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em Single Day Event at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Jeju in September 2025, taking home $58,700. This victory proved his ability to compete in a prestigious tournament environment like Triton. He performed exceptionally well at the WPT World Championship held at the Wynn Las Vegas in December 2024, finishing 127th and winning approximately $27,000, demonstrating his strength on the global stage.
