Born in Germany in 2001, Sturm rose to fame in the online poker world under the legendary pseudonym "Rumukulus," earning the title of "Ultimate Master." Long before becoming a regular in live high-stakes tournaments, he was already a formidable figure on platforms like GGPoker and PokerStars. He won the 2022 World Series of Online Poker (WCOOP) and the 2023 GGPoker World Poker Festival Super Million Dollar Event, taking home over $1.5 million. Sturm's rapid rise is often compared to that of another German poker prodigy, Fedor Holz. In 2019, he transitioned to live poker and quickly became the youngest regular in "nosebleed" level tournaments. Sturm's total live tournament winnings have surpassed $11,017,000, currently ranking him 12th on the German poker all-time money list. His career-high live winnings are $1,689,913, achieved in August 2025 at the European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona €100,000 Super High Roller. In 2023, at just 22 years old, Sturm won his first WSOP gold bracelet, taking home $1,546,024 in the $50,000 High Roller event. He has maintained a top-tier performance throughout 2025 and early 2026, most recently finishing third in the 2023 WSOP Paradise Super High Roller for $1,322,000 and fifth in the 2025 EPT Monte Carlo Super High Roller for $624,065.
