During a Hustler Casino Live broadcast, Ethan “Rampage” Yau publicly criticized player Harut for his slow and tight play. Despite Harut's mere 9 seconds of deliberation, Rampage insisted on a timer. Ultimately, Harut won $72,600, while Rampage lost $103,250.

Ethan Yau was quite critical of a player named "Harut," finding him slow and inactive, which he found unsatisfactory. Therefore, the popular poker video blogger launched a fierce attack on his opponent after he tightened up and folded.

Was Rampage excessive?

The argument began with a hand: Francisco Fragoso limped to 1TP 4T 100 with pocket fives. Harut then limped back from the hijack position with A♥K♥, and Rampage raised to 1TP 4T 2,000 from the small blind with Q♠Q♣.

Nik Airball in the big blind called with Q♥J♣, and Francisco also called. It was Harut's turn to act. He seemed to be setting a trap with a strong hand, but instead of raising, he called to see the flop 3♥2♣J♥, giving him the nut flush draw and two high cards.

Rampage checked his overpair out of position. Airball, who hit top pair on the flop, bet $4,000. Francisco folded, and Harut, behind him with $92,000, called. Rampage, holding over $200,000, checked-raised to $18,000, forcing Airball to fold.

Harut appears to be in a favorable position to call or raise, possessing substantial equity. He is unlikely to draw to death any hand Rampage holds, and he has odds exceeding 2:1.

"Is he going to call, or go all in?" David Tuchman, who was providing commentary at the time, wondered.

"He's dragging the clock out too long. We only have 30 minutes left. This is just the flop," Rampage said impatiently after Harut had been deep in thought for only about a minute.

"Are you kidding or serious?" Harut asked, puzzled as to why Rampage was attacking him.

"No, I really need to keep track of it. You've been dragging this out for too long," Rampage retorted.

Surprisingly, Harut eventually folded, a move that shocked Tuchman and the audience. Rampage then went on to berate his new opponent, telling him, "I need you to hurry up." But Hustler's charts showed that Harut's average deliberation time was only 9 seconds, which was average at the table.

It's unclear why Rampage singled out Harut after that hand. He didn't think for long when facing a check-raise, and the data shows he didn't prolong the game. But Rampage then continued his long-winded explanation on X.

Harut's stats during the live stream weren't what the GTO Wizard would approve of, but he didn't sit and fold all night. His VIP was 46%, far from tight, despite his pre-flop raise percentage as low as 12%. Ultimately, however, Harut was the biggest winner of the game, taking home $ for 72,600. The biggest loser? Rampage, who lost $ for 103,250.

Nevertheless, Rampage has been on fire in live cash games over the past few months. He also won a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet this summer. So, overall, things aren't bad for this top poker video blogger.
