September is a busy and exciting month for the RunGood Poker Series (RGPS), with next month's poker events including a trip to Tunica, one of the top poker destinations in the United States.
The Mississippi Poker Championship will begin on September 15 and run until September 20. PokerNews will provide live coverage of the Main Event from Horseshoe Casino Tunica starting September 18.
The tournament consists of nine trophy events over six days, with a total guaranteed prize pool exceeding $100,000.
Tournament Highlights
Poker players will have multiple opportunities to win trophies on the first day of the series (September 15th) based on their age – starting with the $250 Seniors Championship, a No-Limit Hold'em tournament for players aged 50 and over. Later that day, there will be the $150 Team No-Limit Hold'em Championship, guaranteeing a prize of $5,000.
The following day will feature the Pot Limit Omaha event with a buy-in of $250, as well as the $150 Grand Prize Tournament. The $250 Women's Tournament, guaranteeing $5,000, will be held on September 19th, with a $65 satellite tournament the day before.
The highlight of this series is the $400 Mississippi No-Limit Hold'em Championship, which PokerNews will cover in its entirety. The tournament features four Day 1 starter groups with a guaranteed prize pool of $50,000. We will provide players and fans with exclusive coverage, including daily recaps and live hand reports, until the champion is crowned on September 20th in Horseshoe.
The series will conclude on the final day with the $250 Turbo No-Limit Hold'em Championship, guaranteeing a prize of $10,000, bringing the Tunica leg of the tournament to a close.
