$5 million guaranteed Sunday Million Sunday Tournament 20th Anniversary Event Entry Countdown

PokerStars is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a Sunday Million tournament featuring 1TP 4T 109 buy-in and a 1TP 4T 5 million guaranteed progressive bounty tournament. The final stage will begin on September 6th, with thousands of players already qualified. Satellite tournaments start at just 1TP 4T 0.55. The WCOOP will also launch on the same day.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, PokerStars is launching a special Sunday Million event with a $109 buy-in and a guaranteed $5 million prize pool. This special event will be a multi-stage tournament, with the final stage (Day 2) starting on September 6th at 8:05 PM BST.

Only a few $109 first-stage events remain to be held. If you want to secure a share of the $ 5 million guaranteed prize pool, you must hurry up.

The PokerStars lobby shows that the first stage of the tournament will begin on September 2nd and 3rd at 4:30 PM, 6:30 PM, 8:30 PM, 10:30 PM, and 11:30 PM BST. It can be expected that subsequent stages of the first stage will follow a similar schedule in the following days.

Satellite tournaments start at just $0.55 and are open 24/7, making this Sunday Million anniversary event easily accessible to almost all PokerStars players. Players seeking a different experience can also try the special edition Spin & Go tournament, with a jackpot of $109 and buy-ins of $0.75 and $4 respectively.

As of the time of writing, 42,407 people have participated in dozens of first-stage events, with 1,362 successfully advancing to the final stage.

Uruguay's "mike21_4life" is currently the most likely champion, having accumulated 1,180,083 chips from a starting stack of 10,000 in the first stage, temporarily taking the lead in the leaderboard. Three other players have advanced with over 1 million chips: "go1vs1 legko" (1,076,054), "getdamoney0" (1,045,132), and "rodrigovini" (1,034,730) are all early leaders.

Three PokerStars ambassadors have successfully qualified for the final stage. Benjamin "Spraggy" Spragg (187,043) is the highest ranked of the three. Sebastian "peace&love" Huber (117,668) and Marle "MarlzTV" Spragg (88,462) are still in the competition.

Other players to watch include Dimitar "KuuL" Danchev (830,445), "roo_400" (791,814), Steven "SvZff" van Zadelhoff (695,141), Bernardo "bedias" Dias (628,707), Peter "Belabacsi" Traply (602,644), Tom "Tom_poker_NL" Talboom (532,332), Scott "Aggro Santos" Margereson (274,755), and Simon "TaxationIsTheft" Gilles (115,497).

The 2026 World Online Poker Championship (WCOOP) will begin on September 6th.

September 6th marks not only the final stage of the $5 million guaranteed Sunday Million 20th Anniversary event, but also the official start of the 2026 World Series of Online Poker (WCOOP) at 2:05 PM BST on the same day.

Six numbered events will commence simultaneously on September 6th, including the Sunday Special with a buy-in of $75 and a guaranteed prize of $350,000, and the NLHE World Championship with a buy-in of $5,200 and a guaranteed prize of $400,000. Both events will begin at 6:05 PM BST.
