WSOP Europe Main Event: Michael Mizrachi advances to Day 2 with a large chip stack; Rezaei leads the field.

WSOP Europe Main Event In another moment of focus, defending world champion Michael Mizrachi continued his hot streak in the 2026 tournament, successfully accumulating a large chip stack in Day 1c of the Main Event at King's Casino (Hilton Prague) and advancing strongly to Day 2.

As a GGPoker ambassador, "The Grinder" Mizrachi is already a legendary figure in poker history. He became the first player to win the Poker Players Championship (PPC) three times, and after Brian Rast tied him, he won his fourth PPC title at the 2025 WSOP, setting a new record.

Even more remarkably, he went on to win the WSOP Main Event, achieving an extremely rare double crown, and was thus directly inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame.

Nine months later, Mizrachi once again stepped onto the historical stage. In this edition... WSOP Europe Main Event In Day 1c, he ranked eighth with 344,000 chips and advanced to Day 2 in 24th place overall, giving him another chance to challenge for the championship.

Mizrachi steadily accumulated chips and successfully doubled his winnings at a crucial moment.

Mizrachi's progress in Day 1c was not without its challenges. In one hand, he went all-in with second pair, only to be instantly called by his opponent with AA, but luckily hit two pair on the turn and doubled up.

He then gradually built his advantage and eliminated Paulina Loeliger late in the game. His opponent hit a straight on the flop, but Mizrachi reversed the situation again on the turn, upgrading two pair to a full house and securing the elimination.

Before the main event began, he had already won three prizes in the Prague event:

€1,100 Mystery Bounty: 103rd Place (€1,350 + €2,000 Bonus)
€3,300 Mixed PLO: 24th place (€6,545)
€565 COLOSSUS: 88th (€1,725)

Rezaei leads the Day 2 chip leaderboard

Despite Mizrachi's impressive performance, the biggest focus of Day 1c remained on Austrian player Daniel Rezaei. He finished the tournament with 639,000 chips, becoming the only player to break the 600,000 mark and advancing to Day 2 with the chip lead.

German player Jan-Henrik Westerhoff (499,000) ranked second, while poker triple champion Roberto Romanello (451,000) ranked third.

Alex Keating (440,000) and Chinese player Biao Ding (431,500) ranked fourth and fifth respectively, making the overall competition quite fierce.

Day 2 Schedule and Format

Current session WSOP Europe Main Event A total of 2,169 participants entered the game, with 904 players successfully advancing to Day 2, where they will return to the tables at noon on April 6.

The guaranteed prize pool of €10,000,000 has now been exceeded, bringing the total prize pool to €11,511,600, and may increase further before registration closes.

Day 2 will still be open for late registration up to the first two levels, with a deadline of 3:30 PM. The tournament will restart with blinds of 1,500 / 2,500 (including 2,500 ante).

The day will consist of six 90-minute sessions, with extended breaks and dinner breaks included.

With the tournament entering its crucial stage, whether Mizrachi can make history again will be one of the most watched focuses of this year's WSOP Europe.
