The Danish player held a slight chip lead over Brazil's "Klebersonw" at the end of Day 1 and won the title as the undisputed champion two and a half hours into the eight-player final table.

"POTCHECKER99," who started the day with a short stack, became the first player eliminated at the final table, but this first elimination took 45 minutes to occur. "POTCHECKER99" had shrunk to less than four big blinds and went all-in from late position with J-10. "otteotteotte," in the big blind, called with Q-8, hitting an 8 on the flop and successfully avoiding a flush draw, eliminating "POTCHECKER99."
Kopykane, a fellow German player from "POTCHECKER99," was eliminated in seventh place in the very first hand after the initial draw break. Action continued until "otteotteotte" on the button, who min-raised with T-6 of different suits. Kopykane, in the small blind, went all-in with A-8 of spades, a triple raise equivalent to 4.5 big blinds, which the initial raiser called. A 6 on the river sealed the deal, reducing the final table to six players.
"Wall7824" was eliminated after losing a coin toss to "M.Baranov," reducing the pool from six to five. "M.Baranov" min-raised with KQ diamonds from the button and quickly called when "Wall7824" went all-in with pocket sixes in the small blind, a triple raise of approximately 14 big blinds. A K on the flop held on, eliminating another player.
Less than 10 minutes after "Wall7824" was eliminated, a blind battle saw "Klebersonw" drop to fifth place. "provoker23" opened all-in from the small blind with A-9 hearts, and "Klebersonw" called with K-8, giving him 11 big blinds. The turn 8 seemed to win the pot for "Klebersonw," but the river's third heart gave "provoker23" a winning flush, leaving the player at risk in fifth place.
Despite winning chips from "Klebersonw", "provoker23" became the next player to be eliminated. He went all-in for 22 big blinds with QJ in the small blind, but lost to "marconi_fast" with a dominant AJ, leaving him with only 2 big blinds, and was soon eliminated.
After "marconi_fast" was eliminated by "M.Baranov", the tournament entered the heads-up stage. "marconi_fast" went all-in with top pair on a board with many draws, but "M.Baranov" called with a King-high straight and won.
At the start of the heads-up match, "M. Baranov" led "otteotteotte" by 76.1 to 63.4 big blinds, but the Danish player quickly eroded that lead. The lead changed hands several times over the next half hour, before a crucial hand nearly handed the victory to "otteotteotte".
"M. Baranov" raised all-in five times with pocket 10s, and "otteotteotte" called with pocket 9s. Although no 9 appeared in the five community cards, four diamonds appeared on the board, and "otteotteotte" had exactly one 9 of diamonds in his hand.
At this point, "otteotteotte" held a massive 80.2 to 7 big blinds lead over the last opponent. "M. Baranov" managed to double up his chips, but the poker gods weren't on his side. In the final hand, "M. Baranov" limped in from the small blind and then called his 13-big-blind all-in with AQ. "otteotteotte" flopped A-8. The Ace on the flop kept "M. Baranov" ahead, but the 8 on the turn nearly sealed his fate. A meaningless card landed on the river, and the game was over.
