Adam Hahn's hot summer continues as he wins the RGPS Dallas Main Event.

Adam Hahn won the RGPS Golden Expedition Dallas $600 Main Event, earning his best career prize money of $91,456 and his first RunGood ring. He emerged victorious from a field of 1,058 entries, defeating Jason Fitzpatrick.

Two years ago, Adam Hahn took a break from poker to focus on his life outside of the game. Fortunately, the timing was perfect, allowing Hahn to become hot again at the right time this summer.

After finishing as runner-up in Houston earlier this month, Hahn took it a step further at the 2026 RGPS Golden Expedition Dallas Series, emerging victorious from a field of 1,058 entries to win the $600 Main Event, earning his best prize money and his first RunGood ring.

This major event at Palace Poker featured eight starting groups and significantly exceeded the guaranteed prize pool, creating a total prize pool of $529,000. Hahn defeated Jason Fitzpatrick in a close heads-up match to win $91,456 and shared his journey to the championship with PokerNews after lifting the trophy.

“I haven’t played in a tournament in a long time,” Hahn explained. “I used to play a lot of tournaments in college, and I really enjoyed it. I played pretty well back then, but then I got busy with work and life, you know, and kids. So it’s been about 10 years since I’ve seriously played any tournaments.”

Hahn owes his return to the poker table to the support of his family, with his father cheering him on throughout the week.

"He's retired, so when we have the opportunity to go to tournaments, he'll play some $1/$2 hands, and he'll be on the sidelines supporting me when I'm playing in tournaments. It gives me a support system, and it's really fun."

Successful Tournament Return

Hahn has been busy with his vehicle sales business in the Dallas area while also taking care of his three children, but he has taken full advantage of the recent opportunity to return to the field.

"It's wonderful and I'm very lucky to be able to put those things aside for a while and have the opportunity to play in the tournament for a few days. I'm very grateful to my wife and her support in taking care of the children."

When asked what motivated him to pursue his poker dream again, Hahn tried to gather his thoughts after his victory and asked his father to help him recall.

"I'm kind of curious to see if I can still do what I did in college. I really love poker, but then I got busy, and life took over. Luckily, I had a few days off (earlier this month), so the timing was perfect. I had time to participate in Day 1, so I thought, let me give it a try and see what happens."

"So it was more a matter of convenience and coincidence. I just happened to have some time off, and of course, I had a family support system to balance family life. But it just so happened that I had some time off, the timing was right, and then all of this happened."

Hahn started the final day in the middle of the leaderboard and remained there when the 128 returning players were reduced to the final three tables. As the prize money jumps became more significant, Hahn started getting good hands and climbing the leaderboard.

In addition to securing a final table spot, Hahn also participated in the PLO High Card Flop tournament, where he finished with nine players. He emerged victorious, winning a RunGood Aruba travel package worth $2,000, which he looks forward to using in next month's Caribbean Poker Series.

"That's great. They said they're going on a trip to Aruba. Obviously, the kids will love it, and I'm really looking forward to receiving that email."

After a winning start to the final table, Hahn channeled that momentum into a push for the chip leaderboard. He rallied from behind to defeat Fitzpatrick, then hit another card on the river to survive.

The heads-up match started with both players having roughly equal chip stacks, and the game didn't last long, but both players took turns on the verge of victory. Hahn hit a straight on the river again, and then dominated Fitzpatrick in the final hand to secure the championship.

Hahn celebrated with his father and some friends from Palace Poker, hoping to continue his winning streak and chase the championship again when he finds a suitable time off. As for what to do with the prize money, Hahn already has his family in mind.

"Yes, I have children, so most of the money will go towards them. It won't change my life, but hopefully it will change theirs."
