Allen Kessler reaped the rewards of winning his series at the end of the summer.

After reaching the WSOP final table twice, Allen Kessler won his own Chainsaw Mixed Poker Series (CMSOP) $400 Omaha-Stud event, taking home $2,725. The series runs at Caesars Palace until August 31.

After delivering a stellar performance at the World Series of Poker (WSOP), Allen Kessler won a poker tournament in a series he knows all too well, perfectly concluding his summer in Las Vegas.

Kessler's latest tournament victory came on Thursday at his personal series at Caesars Palace – the Chainsaw Mixed Poker Series (CMSOP) – where he won the $400 Omaha-Stud Mixed event, taking home $2,725.

Chainsaw: A Bountiful Summer

Kessler, a former CMSOP winner, had one of his most successful summers this year, reaching the WSOP final table twice. Early in the series, he finished third in the $10,000 Seven-Card Stud Championship ($139,036) and then fourth in the $2,500 Limit Mixed Three-Draw Low Stud Championship ($66,103).

A few weeks later, Kessler once again demonstrated his prowess in his own series.

This $400 O/E event was a limit-mixed tournament combining Omaha Hi-Lo and Stud Hi-Lo. Kessler defeated runner-up Umeme Hoye, and Joseph Santagata finished third, with a minimum payout of $1,239.

Although $2,725 was not the biggest prize of Kessler's career, the smile on his face was no less joyful than when he won the $1.2 million slot machine jackpot.

$400 CMSOP O/E Final Table Results

The CMSOP is popular among local mixed-game players and even attracts mixed-game players from overseas. Players who have participated in the CMSOP over the years include former WSOP Player of the Year Josh Arieh and Jeff Madsen, as well as former GPI Intermediate Player of the Year Nick Pupillo.

Last year's series was held at the now-closed Planet Hollywood poker room, while this year it has moved to the newly renovated Caesars Palace poker room across the street.

Kessler also has other winning records in this series, including a fifth place in the $400 Limit HORSE ($1,217) and a sixth place in the $400 Limit Omaha High-Low ($845). On Friday, Kessler added a seventh place, bringing his total to four out of five events in the money.

The CMSOP will be held from August 24 to 31, with the grand finale being the two-day $800 TORSE Championship on August 30.
