The 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) is underway, and although there is still more than a month until this year's $10,000 Main Event (to be held from July 2 to 13, with the final table from August 3 to 5), Phil Hellmuth's fans now have a chance to have a truly unique experience.

What will Hellmuth's opening ceremony be like this year?
In the past, Hellmuth has dressed up in various costumes, including Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings, General Patton, and last summer's latest heavy metal rock star. So, what will it be this year?
It's not confirmed yet, but Hellmuth did share a possible idea in a recent episode of the "BetRivers" podcast presented on PokerNews. Listen at approximately 27 minutes and 5 seconds.
"The main event entrance is coming up. Dressed as Superman, but in a black Superman suit," Hellmuth told host Chad Holloway. "My son Nick...Batman. Phillip...Green Lightning. Jungleman said he might dress up as Captain America."
When Holloway pointed out that the first three characters mentioned were DC Comics characters, but the last one was a Marvel character, Hellmuth didn't seem worried.
"Yes, yes, yes, but what can you do?" Hellmuth replied.
Regardless of your opinion on Hellmuth's main event entrance, it seems many players enjoyed it, or at least wanted to be a part of it. Within 24 hours of the giveaway opening, over 150 players had responded to the post.
