The BetRivers Poker Summer Warm-up Series has concluded successfully, awarding a total of $524,202 in prizes across dozens of events, exceeding the total guaranteed prize pool of $500,000.
The series, which ran from May 3 to 17, featured some familiar faces (or avatars), including BetRivers streamer Keith “AccidentalGrenade” Becker, who won the $50 Friday Mania for $1,348.72.
"JtpIsBack" won the guaranteed $40,000 Main Event
Becker, co-host of the BetRivers poker table talk podcast presented by PokerNews, entered the final table as the chip leader and ultimately emerged victorious from a field of 134 players.
Becker not only won the tournament with a four-figure prize, but the Pennsylvania poker streamer also had the opportunity to play alongside Phil Hellmuth, a 17-time bracelet winner and fellow BetRivers poker representative. Hellmuth also spent some time streaming low-stakes games on the site last week.
"xdad" also performed strongly in the series, first winning BSW #32:He won $1,985 in the Sunday stacking competition and shortly thereafter won the BSW #39.In the 100 Benjamin race, he earned $2,640.
The first winner of the series was "Shiraz007," who won the guaranteed $20,000 BSW #1.He earned $4,030.49 in the opening match of the 100 Series. The series' top prize was won by "RocketIsGROOT" at BSW #35.He won the 500 Super High Roller and earned $9,000.
The $200 Main Event was won by "JtpIsBack", who defeated 174 entries in a $40,000 guaranteed event to win $8,200.
Other players who won large prizes include "FreeTupan" (BSW #42).200 Classic – $4,240), "Cabby123" (BSW #51:200 Deep Stack PKO 6-Max Table – $5,968.05 and "wlultimate" (BSW #11:200 deep stacks, 6-max – $4,704. The series ended with "Dionysus" winning BSW #68.The 50th Spring Farewell Race concluded with a prize of $1,335.45.
