On August 30th, the 2026 DBPT City Mind Sports S3 Main Event saw the final starting group of the first round. Group C, serving as the last remaining group before Day 2, attracted 213 participants. After fierce competition until 2:30 AM, 24 players successfully qualified for the next stage. Peng Ge sealed the bag with 1,005,000 chips, becoming not only the chip leader in Group C but also topping the overall leaderboard for the first round of the Main Event.

With the conclusion of Group C, the first round of the DBPT S3 main event has officially ended. A total of 637 entries were recorded across Groups A, B, and C. After excluding players who advanced repeatedly, 57 players qualified for the second round of prizes.

Group C has 213 players vying for 24 spots, with the 11% advancement mechanism restarted.

The main event Group C will continue the 11% advancement mechanism used in this tournament.

After a long competition among 213 participants, the tournament officially ended at 2:30 a.m., with 24 players ultimately advancing. Because some previously qualified players re-entered the competition, Group C also saw several players aiming for higher scorecards and repeat qualifying rewards.

DBPT S3 Main Event Round 1 Key Data

A7 eliminated KJ, and Peng Ge personally shattered the bubble in Group C.

The focus in the final stages of Group C is on the bubble of qualification.

After the players in the earlier positions folded one after another, Button, the short-stacked player, received K♠J♥ and chose to go all-in to take the blinds. Peng, who was already the chip leader at the table in the BB position, called with A♠7♠.

KJ was unable to overtake, and Peng Ge won the pot with an A high, making Button the bubble boy for Group C. The remaining 24 players all secured their spots in the second round.

For the 57 players who advanced to the next round, their initial groups in the first round are no longer important; the real competition will begin with them joining together. Peng Ge, with over 1 million chips, has taken an early and significant chip lead.

Group C also saw multiple large pots appear in the early stages.

After MP bet 5,400, Button went all-in with his remaining 23,500 chips, and MP called.

Button had already hit three 8s on the flop. The turn K♥ and river K♣ not only failed to change the leader, but instead allowed pocket 88s to eventually form an 8 full house with K, winning the entire pot.

JJ successfully caught the bluff, turning the five-man pot into a head-to-head battle.

After Button bet 5,500, both players called.

After the turn card Q♠ appeared, one player shoved in all of his remaining 25,000 chips. The other player, holding J♠J♥, thought for a moment and then called, ultimately revealing 9♠9♥.

The river card 3♣ did not bring a turnaround, and JJ successfully called and won the pot.

KK still managed to hold the pot against an Ace-high flop.

Level 8, with blinds at 600/1,200/1,200, puts Pocket KK under pressure in a three-way pot.

The three players saw the Q♦ turn and the 5♠ river, and ultimately checked on the last two streets.

At showdown, one of the players revealed K♠K♣. Even though the flop revealed an Ace, the pocket KKs ultimately maintained their lead and narrowly won the pot.

The first round concluded with 637 participants, and 57 people officially advanced to Day 2.

After Group C was completed, all three starting groups of the DBPT S3 main event were finished.

The main event ultimately attracted 637 entries. After excluding duplicate entries, 57 players qualified for the second round. With the number of participants reduced from over 600 in the first round to fewer than 60, the main event competition officially enters its next stage.

In addition, this year's tournament has optimized the blind structure and added a fast challenge on August 31 and September 1, while continuing the reward mechanism of repeated advancement.

From Group A and Group B all the way to the final Group C, the first round of the DBPT S3 main event was completed with 637 participants in all starting groups.

Next, the 57 players who advanced after eliminating duplicates will enter the second round of the main event.
