Daniel Negreanu got off to a slow start in his Hustler Casino Live debut on Friday. Just two hours into the stream, he had already lost nearly $160,000 – his first cash game in a long time. But the poker legend wasn't deterred by the six-figure loss and had turned things around by the end of the eight-hour stream.

However, luck then turned in his favor. The GGPoker ambassador experienced a rollercoaster night in his highly anticipated debut. Unfortunately, he didn't get many good hands for his fans. But he did pull off an impressive bluff, successfully igniting a brief comeback.

Negreanu rebounded and then fell back again.

Negreanu hit almost nothing in the first few hours of this $100/$200 No-Limit Texas Hold'em cash game. And his only good hand—hitting top pair on the flop with a nut flush draw—was reversed on the turn by Nik Airball's five-card run.

Things started to turn around when the 52-year-old poker prodigy got pocket aces and raised pre-flop. Nik Airball hit a middle pair on the flop, and the turn and river didn't improve things, but he called a $46,000 all-in, giving Negreanu his first meaningful pot of the day.

After several hours of live streaming, the situation briefly turned in Negreanu's favor. Although he ultimately closed the game at a loss, his most impressive moment was a bluff he launched against Sam "Senor Tilt" Kiki.

Kiki raised to $6,000 from middle position with K♠J♦, and was called by two players in disadvantageous positions—Negreanu with A♦Q♠ and "Dr. H" with A♠2♠. The flop came 3♦2♦K♦, and everyone checked to the turn 7♣.

Negreanu bet $6,000, forcing Dr. H to fold, while Kiki called with top pair and a Jack-high flush draw. The river, a Jack-Heart, seemed to lock in the pot for Tilt, who had top two pair. Negreanu, with only an Ace-high hand, appeared to be giving up the pot, checking to the player with the best hand, who bet $20,000.

That's the end of the hand, right? No, not at all. Negreanu unexpectedly check-raised to $75,000. Senor Tilt fell into deep thought, admitting he was troubled by holding J♦—a flush blocker that, according to the solver, should have allowed him to call. But he also realized that Negreanu check-raised on the river, almost always holding a strong hand in that situation.

Kiki ultimately folded, a move that instantly caused a stir in the YouTube chat. For Negreanu, this was the highlight of his Hustler Casino Live debut, although he also won a pot of $135,000 with pocket queens against "Jellyfish's" pocket eights. He went from a loss of nearly $160,000 to a profit of nearly $120,000 in just a few hours. However, he just couldn't get good hands, and his six-figure profit quickly turned into a small loss, ultimately ending the eight-hour stream with a loss of $73,800.

The most outrageous hand of the day had nothing to do with Negreanu. Nik Airball stunned the audience with a 1TP 4T 161,400 bluff on a board of J♦K♣10♦9♠Q♠ with 6♠3♠. However, the bluff failed because Senor Tilt, holding an Ace, won the pot. Airball lost 1TP 4T 179,400 that day, while Tilt won 1TP 4T 114,000 before leaving early.

Jellyfish had a disastrous night, becoming the biggest loser with a loss of $295,000. Brandon Steven became the biggest winner with a profit of $171,600.
