In the final stages of the 2026 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona event, Brazilian star Fabiano Kovalski delivered one of the series' hottest performances. Just two days after winning the €3,250 Mystery Bounty title, he broke through a field of 429 entries in the €10,300 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller, ultimately defeating Igor Picone to claim the title and earn his career-high single prize of €727,280.

The two victories netted Kovalski a combined €1,112,710 in just a few days, pushing his live tournament winnings to over $4 million and bringing him within striking distance of the top ten on Brazil's all-time money list.

429 people created a prize pool of 4.16 million euros.

This €10,300 EPT Barcelona High Roller, including re-entries, recorded 429 entries, resulting in a total prize pool of €4,161,300, with 64 players making it into the money.

Notable players including Nacho Barbero, Chris Hunichen, Davidi Kitai, Joni Jouhkimainen, Brandon Sheils, Felipe Boianovsky, Jason Wheeler, and Brock Wilson all won prizes; Aram Zobian, however, was eliminated before the nine-player final table.

€10,300 High Roller Core Data

The final table was packed with top players, but Fehim Hajdari was eliminated in 9th place.

After the nine-person Final Table was formed, Danish player Fehim Hajdari was the first to leave, finishing in 9th place and earning €86,900.

Alexandre Reard finished 6th, with career prize money exceeding ten million US dollars.

French star Alexandre Reard finished in 6th place and earned €165,400.

Reard recently surpassed $10 million in live tournament winnings, currently ranking fourth on the all-time French money list. While he didn't add another high-stakes title this time, he continued his consistent performance at international high-stakes tables.

Gediminas Uselis finished third, earning €363,400.

After entering the three-player table, Lithuanian star Gediminas Uselis became the next player to leave the table.

Uselis finished in 3rd place, turning his €10,300 buy-in into a €363,400 prize. This is second only to his $3,500 Rock 'N' Roll Poker Open Main Event win in 2021, marking another significant high-stakes tournament achievement in his career.

Thus, the championship match became a contest between Fabiano Kovalski and Belgian player Igor Picone.

An agreement was reached before the heads-up match, and the two players achieved their best career prize money.

Before officially entering Heads-Up, Kovalski and Picone chose to negotiate the remaining prize money.

The original prize money was €814,500 for the champion and €508,700 for the runner-up. After an agreement was reached, the prize money gap was narrowed.
