ESPN will provide more comprehensive coverage than ever before for the 2026 WSOP Main Event, including daily live coverage on ESPN+ and highlights from ESPN2. The final table will be broadcast from August 3rd to 5th.
ESPN will increase its coverage of the WSOP Main Event in the United States this year, marking the first time the Bristol, Connecticut-based sports television network has broadcast the world's top poker tournament since the COVID pandemic.
This $10,000 buy-in World Series of Poker event will kick off on July 2 in Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, running until August 5, with a three-week break after the final table. Poker fans who watched the WSOP before ESPN moved to CBS Sports between 2021 and 2025 will notice some similarities to past broadcasts, as well as a brand-new, enhanced television and live schedule.
WSOP Main Event Broadcast Details
ESPN's return to the WSOP isn't the only major change to this year's Main Event. The tournament will run until the final table of nine on July 13th—known as the "August Nine." These players (almost all guaranteed at least $1 million) will have a few weeks to relax, study their opponents, handle media requests, and perhaps even land sponsorship deals.
They will return to the field on August 3 for a three-day live tournament, airing on ESPN2 (August 3-4) and ESPN (August 5). The pre-final table matches will begin on July 2 with Day 1, Group A, and will be streamed live on the ESPN+ app from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. ET, requiring a paid subscription. All four Group 1 matches, as well as Days 2 through 8, will be covered live daily on ESPN+.
For viewers who don't watch ESPN+ or prefer a condensed version of the WSOP Main Event, you're in luck. ESPN2 will air two condensed episodes of the final table action on July 21st at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m., followed by two more episodes on July 28th at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Replays of these episodes will air on ESPN2 on July 22nd, 26th, and 29th.
Following the final table, ESPN2 will premiere two episodes of the final, airing on August 9th and 10th at 10 PM. These episodes will be rebroadcast on August 11th, 13th, 15th, and 19th.
ESPN will cover more WSOP Main Event coverage this year than ever before. The Main Event commentators include familiar voices such as Norman Chad, Lon McEachern, Ali Nejad, and Nick Schulman. PokerNews will also provide extensive daily live coverage of the Main Event from start to finish.
Kevin "Kevmath" Mathers provided some information on how to watch the main event outside the United States.
Outside the United States, the main event will be broadcast in various formats through Warner Bros. Television Networks. For example, in Europe and Asia, HBO Max will offer live coverage of the final table and a 45-minute highlight reel. Viewers in the UK and Ireland can watch similar content on TNT Sports, HBO Max, and Discovery+. Please check your local cable TV and streaming service for the full schedule.
The standalone ESPN+ streaming app is not available outside the United States.
