The 2026 partypoker Tour Manchester Main Event concluded successfully, with Michael Breen from Ireland emerging victorious from a field of 260 players to lift the championship trophy and take home £22,000, setting a new personal record for the highest prize money in a live tournament.

For Breen, this was not only a championship victory, but also a significant breakthrough in the European poker scene.

The main event attracted 260 participants.

The partypoker Tour Manchester Main Event had a buy-in of £500 and attracted 260 entries, creating a total prize pool of £115,700. A total of 39 players made it into the money.

The tournament was held at the renowned Manchester235 Casino in the UK, attracting a large number of professional poker players from the UK and European poker players.

Notable players, including partypoker brand ambassador Jaime Staples and Matt Staples, made it into the money, but ultimately failed to reach the final table.

The luxurious final table is known as the "table of death."“

When the final nine players reached the table, the chip stacks were very evenly distributed.

Apart from short-stacked Thales Salomao, the other players generally had around 30 to 40 big blinds in their stacks.

The final table boasts a star-studded lineup, including:

  • Andrew Wilson (WPT champion)
  • Endrit Geci (EPT Eureka Champion)
  • Calogero Morreale (British Tour Champion)
  • Daniel Diaz (partypoker Brand Ambassador)

Therefore, many media outlets have rated this final table as one of the most competitive final tables in the partypoker Tour in recent years.

Breen decisively defeats AA

The most important hand in the game occurred during the four-player stage.

At the time, Michael Breen held pocket fours, while Italian player Calogero Morreale held pocket aces.

Both sides completed the full roll.

From a probabilistic standpoint, Morreale has a significant advantage.

However, the flop came up with a 4, which helped Breen hit a set.

Subsequent community cards failed to help AA reverse the situation, and Breen successfully won the crucial pot.

This hand not only eliminated a strong opponent but also gave Breen a huge chip lead.

One-on-one battle to secure the championship

When the championship match began, Breen had already built a huge lead of more than 8 to 1.

Despite doubling down several times in the match against British star Andrew Wilson, Wilson was unable to mount a true comeback.

The final winning hand has appeared:

Wilson holds the KQ limp in the pool at the button position;

Breen went all-in with his AJ shoes to apply pressure.

Wilson chose to bet on his final 10 big blinds.

The flop immediately revealed an Ace, giving Breen, with his high cards, a decisive advantage.

With the turn and river dealt, Wilson was unable to catch up.

Michael Breen has officially secured the championship.

Biggest live tournament prize money of my career

After winning the championship, Breen received:

  • Champion Trophy
  • £22,000 champion prize
  • partypoker Tour Manchester Main Event Champion Title

This prize money also broke his personal record for live tournament winnings.

As a player who has been active in the British and Irish poker scene for a long time, this victory is undoubtedly an important milestone in his career.
