A streamer who once helped homeless NBA stars wins his first poker tournament.

Streamer N3on won the CPT Invitational with $15,000 despite having no poker experience. Just weeks after helping former NBA player Delonte West overcome drug addiction and homelessness, he has now pulled off this amazing victory.

Popular streamer N3on, who had absolutely no poker experience, participated in the Celebrity Poker Tour (CPT) Invitational XIII in Las Vegas on Friday night, but he was blessed with "karma".

N3on, who rose to fame a few weeks ago for helping a former NBA player struggling with drug addiction and homelessness, has now emerged victorious in a CPT event with over 50 celebrities participating, winning the championship and a $15,000 prize.

"I don't understand anything."

This CPT Event #19, held at the PokerGO Studios at the ARIA Resort & Casino, primarily featured first-time participants and poker novices, including Olympic medalist Caitlyn Jenner and Holly Madison, a reality TV star who has long been active in Las Vegas. N3on, with 1.15 million YouTube subscribers, was also present.

"I don't know anything about this," N3on told PokerNews in a pre-tournament interview. "They contacted me, and I thought, this is a great opportunity. Come on, let's win some money."

The streamer was seated at the livestream table alongside Jenner and Madison, as well as former NBA guard Nate Robinson, and content creators India Love and Tana Mongeau (both are CPT regulars, and their tablemates were mostly newbies).

“There are a lot of great names here,” N3on said. “A lot of great people, it’s going to be a great table. We’ll chat, have fun, and enjoy the atmosphere. Hopefully, you know, I can win.”

N3on wasn't bluffing when he said he knew nothing about poker. This was perhaps best illustrated by a wildly successful double-kill hand—he hit his only two outs on the river to form a full house without realizing it. PokerGO commentator Brent Hanks called it "one of the most bizarre hands we've ever reported on in CPT."

That hand occurred at the final table, propelling N3on to victory in a game that was completely unfamiliar to him at the start of the evening.

Helping professional athletes in distress

Robinson is not the only former professional basketball player that N3on has recently contacted.

Last month, N3on filmed a series of videos with Delonte West, a former NBA guard who has struggled for years with homelessness, drug addiction, and mental health issues.

"I contacted Delonte, messaged him, and he told me his whole situation," N3on said. He played basketball with the struggling athlete and gave him $$50,000 and an iPhone.

N3on added that West is now "in a very good position compared to the past."

"He lives in a rehabilitation center, doesn't use drugs, and just lives his life day by day. I'm really happy to be able to help him. I keep in touch with him almost every day. I'll be seeing him soon, so I'm very excited."

The poker world may see more opportunities to see N3on in the future, as he has also won a seat in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise $26,000 buy-in Super Main Event.
