Alea Casino Glasgow, located on the banks of the River Clyde, is making final preparations for hosting the sixth stop of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour. The PartyPoker Tour Glasgow event will take place from August 3rd to 9th, featuring a packed schedule including a £500 buy-in Main Event with a £100,000 guaranteed prize pool.
The PartyPoker Tour Glasgow will kick off on August 3rd with the £150 No-Limit Hold'em Mini Main Event. This is the first of four starting groups and is expected to be one of the most attended events in the tournament.
In last year's mini Main Event, Christian Watt emerged victorious from 467 competitors, winning the £10,260 first-place prize, a rather good return on an investment of £150.
Other noteworthy No-Limit Hold'em events include the £200 Bounty, the £100 Turbo, the £60 Red River Bounty, and the £1,000 High Roller. Tianyi Jiang is the defending High Roller champion, having defeated 33 opponents in 2025 to win £10,900.
Rich Mixed Games
Participants in the PartyPoker Tour Glasgow stop also have a variety of mixed games to choose from.
The £60 Pot Limit HORSE, £100 NLHE/PLO Mixed Tournament, £150 PLO 4/5/6 Card, £60 Crazy Pineapple Bounty Tournament, £250 PLO Masters, and £60 Tennessee Hold'em Glasgow Championship are just some of the non-Texas Hold'em tournaments.
£100,000 Guaranteed PartyPoker Tour Glasgow Main Event
The PartyPoker Tour Glasgow Main Event, with a £100,000 guarantee, is the highlight of this event and the crown jewel of the tournament. All four Day 1 groups have a buy-in of £500, with £455 going into the prize pool and £45 as event fees. No further deductions will be made from the prize pool.
Online satellite tournaments are available on PartyPoker starting from £0.20, while live satellite tournaments are held during the live music festival at Alea Casino Glasgow for £60 or £115.
When the PartyPoker Tour was held in Glasgow for the last time 12 months ago, 256 participants created a total prize pool of £111,821, with the top 39 players sharing the winnings. The final table was star-studded, including well-known players such as Kevin Frame, PartyPoker ambassador Jaime Staples, Dean Lyall, and David Lappin.
Zhen Zhen ultimately emerged victorious, defeating Kyle Scott in heads-up play to win £22,500. Scott finished as runner-up, earning £14,270, and he is likely to return to Glasgow to try and go even further, especially given his current good form, having secured a career-best $125,000 prize by finishing 71st in the 2026 WSOP Main Event in early July.
