Phil Ivey has yet to win a single game at the 2026 WSOP. Eleven-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Ivey has yet to win any prize money 17 days into the 2026 WSOP. He was eliminated in the $100,000 High Roller event, continuing his slow start to the year.

Don't worry, Phil Ivey isn't past his prime. The GOAT (Greatest of All Time) just had some bad luck at the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP). Even superstars aren't immune to volatility.

Seventeen days into the WSOP this year, Ivey is still seeking his first prize of the summer, perhaps the biggest surprise yet. The 11-time bracelet winner was eliminated on Thursday's second day of the #36:$100,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em event, far from the money.

However, he once had a chance to double up. He went all-in with K♣Q♦ against Andrew Lichtenberger's 7♠7♥, putting him in a good coin-flip position. But the flop came 7♣, allowing "Lucky Chewy" to lock in the pot. As always, Ivey quietly left the venue without showing any frustration.

Is Ivey's slow start something to worry about?

Ivey has bought into multiple bracelet events this summer but has yet to win any prizes. He was spotted in the $25,000 heads-up No-Limit Hold'em tournament but lost to Darren Elias in the first round of Day 1, Group A. He then re-bought into Day 1, Group B, where he lost to Shota Nakanishi in the second round.

Then Ivey took on the challenge.  He played in a high-stakes no-limit Texas Hold'em tournament and made it to Day 2, but was eliminated before the bubble burst. He then participated in several more tournaments, but his luck remained poor.

This Poker Hall of Famer last won a gold bracelet in 2024. He was selected in the WSOP $25k Fantasy Draft with a score of $80, becoming one of the highest-paid players. However, he has yet to contribute any points to the team that drafted him—Team Verderamo.

This isn't the first time Ivey has had a slow start in a World Series of Poker. Last year, he didn't earn his first cash until Event #38, which was also his first cash of the week's two final tables.

If you're worried Ivey won't achieve anything this summer, don't be. He's made four final tables at the 2025 WSOP, and he's fully capable of achieving or even surpassing those results again.
