Punjarojanakul was born in Thailand and currently resides in Westbury, New York, leading a prestigious and authentic Global Poker Tour life. He initially distinguished himself in the United States, particularly in mid-stakes tournaments in Florida and Las Vegas, before successfully transitioning to high-stakes tournaments in Asia. He is proficient in various poker games, including No-Limit Texas Hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO), which has enabled him to remain active in major tournaments such as the WSOP, WPT, and APT.

Punjarojanakul is known for his tenacious and adaptable playing style, excelling in both standard and fast-paced tournaments. His success in single-day high roller and ultra-fast events demonstrates his exceptional ICM (Independent Chip Model) awareness and ability to make high-pressure decisions at varying stack depths. He is particularly adept at playing in smaller tables and mixed games, leveraging his expertise in games like Five-card Pot-Limit Omaha to exploit imbalances in opponent strength and apply maximum pressure at the final table.

According to Hendon Mob, Tanupat Punjarojanakul's total live tournament winnings have surpassed the $1.3 million mark. His career-high live tournament winnings of $276,466, achieved in 2024, currently rank seventh on Thailand's all-time winnings list. The 2025 season was a milestone for Punjarojanakul, with numerous titles and multiple final tables at major tournaments worldwide. In November 2025, he shone at the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Taipei, winning NT$3,007,660 (approximately US$98,042) in the NT$165,000 Single Day High Roller (Event 26). Just days later, he won the Pot-Limit Omaha Five-Card Super Turbo (Event 96) in the same event. Earlier this year, he proved his all-around ability by winning his second title at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Championship (SHRP) in Hollywood, Florida. He won the $400 buy-in six-max five-card pot-limit Omaha event, taking home $7,375. These results, coupled with his fourth-place finish in the $1,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em playoffs at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP), winning $147,952, have greatly solidified his status as a multi-format elite player.
