Video Released: Angry Man Throws Violent Punch at Poker Player

A video of an attack on a poker player at the Shooting Star casino in Minnesota has gone viral on social media. The video shows a man repeatedly punching a seated poker player and throwing a table before leaving the casino.

A video that has gone viral on social media shows an angry man throwing a vicious punch at a poker player at a casino in Minnesota.

A video shared Friday by poker player and content creator "TimeTravelerPoker" shows a man with a ponytail repeatedly punching another man sitting at a poker table. The man then picks up and throws a small table before walking out of the casino.

Minnesota Casino Poker Conflict

According to TimeTravelerPoker, speaking to PokerNews, the incident occurred at the Shooting Star casino in Mahnomen, Minnesota, which was offering a $2-$100 split-limit cash game over the weekend.

It is unclear what triggered the attack, or whether the attackers were participants in the poker game.

"TimeTravelerPoker" stated that he was not the one who recorded the video and pointed out that the attacked man "was his friend."

Despite being hit multiple times, the man can be seen getting up from the chair after the incident in the video.

"This older man can take a punch," commented one X user. "But it's a very cowardly attack."

While not common, physical altercations do occasionally occur at the poker table. Last month, a video surfaced showing a dealer at a charity poker room in Michigan slamming a poker player to the ground.

Other incidents have occurred in recent years, including a player being knocked down in the Red Rock poker room in Las Vegas, a man fighting with an ARIA poker room employee, and a player attacking World Series of Poker Tour (WSOPC) ring record holder Maurice Hawkins in a family game.

A few years earlier, old-school poker player Sammy Farha was allegedly involved in a physical altercation at the Legends poker room in Houston, Texas in December 2021.
