The RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) Golden Expedition will be held from September 1st to 7th at The Barrel Social Club in Kentucky, featuring a main event with a guaranteed prize pool of $250,000 and 11 ring events.
Tournament poker players in the Bluegrass State are about to witness a major event.
The RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) Golden Expedition is headed to The Barrel Social Club in Franklin, Kentucky. The tournament will begin on September 1 and conclude with the Main Event final table on September 7. PokerNews will provide live coverage of the entire event.
Important Information for Kenta Base Stations
Like Texas, Kentucky has gambling laws that differ from most other U.S. states. Therefore, the state has no physical casinos. Instead, there are social clubs like The Barrel Social Club, where players pay membership fees and seating fees instead of commission.
Before participating in RGPS events, players must join a club. The daily membership fee is only $10, or a monthly membership can be purchased. The process is simple and quick, and can be completed upon arrival at the venue.
Once you've registered, you can start enjoying the fun of poker. The seven-day tournament includes 11 ring events, starting with the $300 Seniors (50+) event on September 1st. The second ring event follows the next day with the $400 PokerNews PowerStack event, guaranteeing $30,000 in prize money. Players who make the money will earn 2026 PokerNews PowerStack leaderboard points. The tournament features two Day 1 starting groups, with the final day scheduled for September 3rd.
There are many more large-scale events to come, such as the $400 Pot Limit Omaha on September 3 (guaranteed prize of $25,000), and the $400 Labor Day Blackjack Bounty on September 7, the final day of the series.
The Main Event is the highlight of the upcoming Kentucky Series, requiring only $800 to participate in a guaranteed prize pool of $250,000. Day 1 Groups A and B will be held on September 4th, Groups C and D on September 5th, and Groups E and F on September 6th. The final table will conclude the RGPS Golden Expedition on September 7th. PokerNews will bring you live updates from The Barrel Social Club.
